Welcome to the Graphic design WikiProject. We are a group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of Graphic design.

Purpose

This Wikiproject aims to create a more complete understanding of the breadth of the discipline by explaining the role of Graphic design in different contexts, and by drawing connections between Graphic design and its many related disciplines, areas of interest, and specializations.

Scope

One route to achieving a more complete understanding of Graphic design is to frame it in a variety of contexts:

The initiative that led to the creation of this Wikiproject grew out of a meeting of the Vancouver Graphic Design Meetup on September 11, 2006.

Categorization

One pressing task is to scour Wikipedia for articles related to Graphic design, and to make sure they are categorized as such. To tag an article as part of the Graphic design category, simply edit it and add this tag somewhere near the bottom:

[[Category:Graphic design]]

Be sure to properly categorize any new article you write! Proper categorization will cause an article to automatically appear in the category index.
