No indication that this person meets notability guidelines, no indication there is any attempt being made to make this readable to users of this Wikipedia. The internal links lead to more non-English subpages, and the external links lead to Friendster profiles. Wikipedia is not a free web host, nor is it MySpace, or even Friendster. - Delete: This is a curious subpage. I see attempts have been made to tag it as a userpage but the tags were quickly removed. (January 27/29 dif and January 29/30 dif) as well as blanked on January 27 (dif). From the looks of the edits it looks like this is nothing more than a fan page that high schoolers mess around with. (see January 23 dif and January 27 dif for examples). It should also be noted there was an ANI about this: Users Anak Kalimantan and Khuntien Ngin. This may be related to the Rendy Marciano Friendster page or it may simply be an attempt at a worlwide wiki - see also AR Wikipedia and Cache of na Wikipedia. Also related here, in case you don't see it, is User:Khuntien Ngin/archieve7 which is the links to all the other user suabpages related to Rendy - User:Khuntien Ngin/GTT Jakarta, User:Khuntien Ngin/GTT KB, User:Khuntien Ngin/Jenjang Jabatan GTT and User:Khuntien Ngin/OGTT. I am also wondering if these are cut and pastes from other wikis or an "official" website. See http://na.wikipedia.org/wiki/OGTT for the User:Khuntien Ngin/OGTT "source" which was deleted January 13 as "vandalism". Soundvisions1 (talk) 21:19, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
- Comment: For context, google translation suggests he is the head of a gang of vigilantes in Jakarta; see [1] and [2]. Looks to be an attempt to maintain articles in user subspace, "designed to functionally substitute for articles." Seems like the fate of them should be bound. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:54, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
- The idea that this scrawny kid is the leader of a gang is difficult to believe to say the least. This looks more and more like an out-and-out WP:HOAX. Beeblebrox (talk) 21:06, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
- Apparently they thought so in Indonesia. See the google translation of the talk page: Google translation. They seem very earnest, but I don't know that this individual could ever meet notability. Perhaps it would be worth asking assistance from Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Indonesia? They seem relatively active, and that google translation suggests that the contributor who made this page speaks English as well as I speak Indonesian. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 23:25, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
- I have left a notice there asking for input. Beeblebrox (talk) 23:43, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
- Found another hidden subpage - User:Khuntien Ngin/KZ. Most of his "archives" are all redirects - see User:Khuntien Ngin/archieve. Seems to be 8 pages in total. Soundvisions1 (talk) 22:46, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
- I guess we are really discussing deleting all of these pages, we should try to compile a complete list. Here's what I've got, please add anything I may have missed :
- User:Khuntien Ngin/OGTT
- User:Khuntien Ngin/Jenjang Jabatan GTT
- User:Khuntien Ngin/GTT Jakarta
- User:Khuntien Ngin/GTT KB
- User:Khuntien Ngin/Rendy Marciano
- User:Khuntien Ngin/archieve7
- User:Khuntien Ngin/KZ
- User:Khuntien Ngin/Pontianak
- I have also nominated a bunch of the weird redirects for speedy deletion.
Beeblebrox (talk) 00:30, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
- Delete - delete them all. Any internet search brings us back to wikipedia. There are no sources, no assertion of notability, and the rambling chats in Indonesian has nothing to do with the encyclopedia - it's just chat.--Merbabu (talk) 00:59, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
- PS - i couldn't find anything related on the Indonesian wikipedia. --Merbabu (talk) 01:23, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
- Comment: It may or may not be related but in searching I found User:Anak Kalimantan, who, according to their talk page was blocked for using the same i.p as ANTI-GTT - who made those edits I mentioned above. (January 23 dif) And these may, or may not be, related to User:Rendy Marciano was was also blocked. Because of the amount of redirects and users who redirected and moved various pages to various other locations it is somewhat hard to track down exactly what is going on. Soundvisions1 (talk) 03:40, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
- Note, Pontianak has come up a lot in this web. For those who don't understand the Indonesian, Pontianak is a city in Kalimantan (the Indonesian part of Borneo) where this person says he is from. Anak Kalimantan means child of kalimantan. I repeat my suggestion to remove the whole tangled mess. there's nothing of note in the Indonesian text. --Merbabu (talk) 06:32, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
- Delete - User Merbabu is one of the more thorough members of the Indonesian project and I think that you can consider his responses sufficient to represent the project - the pages that I have looked at look like, to me - like adolescent vanity pages that fortunately have not hit the main space - and should be considered that english wikipedia is not a storage space for personal vanity/blog material - and should be considered part of the recent increase of usage by indonesian speaking editors on mainspace - who from the evidence so far really should be at id and not en SatuSuro 07:59, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
- Keep, think first before you voted DELETE, DELETE and DELETE! You are not Indonesian, so you don't know what's the case. id.wikipedia's administrators just told them a hoax. I feel so mad with their labeling! Once again, think first! Khuntien Ngin (talk) 08:25, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
- Keep, as the Khuntien Ngin's partner, i just want to say, no hoax in these cases. I know, GTT has not a reliable sources, but it is not a hoax. They are not a vigilante gang like what you talking about. Anak Kalimantan (talk) 08:28, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
- The bar for inclusion is coverage in reliable sources, can you provide at least one example please? Beeblebrox (talk) 08:31, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
- We put the sources in the subpage. Remember, they have not a website. Maybe will coming soon. Anak Kalimantan (talk) 08:37, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
- there are so many of these subpages, could you please be more specific as to which one of the 8 or so has a reliable source? Beeblebrox (talk) 08:44, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
- I have told you that, GTT has not any reliable sources yet, but i put one of the sources in the User:Khuntien Ngin/Rendy Marciano page. I saw many of Wikipedia's articles have not a reliable sources, but they are still in exist. Anak Kalimantan (talk) 08:56, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
