Victor Tadeusz Sikora (born 11 April, 1978 in Deventer, Overijssel) is a Dutch Association football player who currently plays for Perth Glory in the Australian A-League. He joined FC Dallas in August 2008 but left for Australia in December of the same year.[1]
Biography
His hobbies include golf and deep sea fishing. He remains friendly with former USA International Earnie Stewart, who is the Technical Director at his former club, NAC Breda.
Club career
Sikora began his career in 1994 with Netherlands top-flight club Go Ahead Eagles after moving to the Dutch second division for three seasons with Go Ahead Eagles, Sikora returned to the Eredivisie with Vitesse Arnhem, where he spent three successful seasons at Vitesse Arnhem before joining Dutch giants Ajax.
In his time at Ajax, Sikora scored seven Eredivisie goals, won two league titles (2002, 2004) and added the Dutch Super Cup and KNVB Cup titles in 2002. Sikora also participated in the UEFA Champions League with Ajax.
Prior to joining FC Dallas, Sikora spent three seasons at Eredivisie side NAC Breda Overall, Sikora scored 65 goals in 297 league games for his clubs. He is currently at Australian club Perth Glory. Victor Sikora made his club debut for Perth Glory coming on as a substitude on the 59th minute to replace Nick Rizzo. In February 2009 he signed a one year deal with the Glory.[2]
International career
Sikora has earned six caps with the Netherlands, with his first appearance coming in a February 2001 friendly against Turkey, and the last in 2002 against the United States.
