White Brazilian

Can you please block the page White Brazilian from editing? It has been vandalized many times the last days. Opinoso (talk) 15:04, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Afro-Brazilian culture

Somebody created the Afro-Brazilian Culture article, which has exactlu the same content of the article Afro-Brazilian. I think the first should be deleted. Opinoso (talk) 15:08, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

These pages are totally different.

Afro-Brazilian describes who are the people of Black African descent, also their genetics.

Afro-Brazilian Culture describes how the African culture evolved in Brazil and amalgamated with Portuguese and Native American cultures. It just a draft for while.

Opinoso is just someone who is anxious to quarrel. And he always interprets the sources according his prejudices.

NIRVANA Page in SVNIT

you still havent answered my reply to comment posted by you regarding authenticity of Nirvana content in SVNIT's homepage. Kindly see Archive 7 > Why did you delete Nirvana > user talk page. Or go directly to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:123.239.163.166. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.239.234.190 (talk) 08:19, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bill Lockyer

My post did not appear to be constructive? Tel me what is constructive about prison rape controversy? Do you want a page driven by political bias and ideology or would you actually like to get some hard details about the man and his accomplishments? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Veritas81 (talkcontribs) 20:19, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Aces.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Aces.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:31, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

NowCommons: Image:Traci Bingham 2008.jpg

Image:Traci Bingham 2008.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:Image:Traci Bingham.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[Image:Traci Bingham.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 21:46, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Persecution

Hello Genic. User Crazyaboutlost has started a bad-faith persecution to my contributions in several articles:Carmen Miranda, Portuguese Brazilian, Ethnic groups in Brazil, Brazilian people, University of São Paulo, Italian Brazilian, Afro-Brazilian, Japanese Brazilian, Oizumi, Gunma, Rio de Janeiro, among others.

I already had problems with this user, who likes to chase others. He seems to be trying to destabilize the articles or vandalize what I do. He seems to be supporting Skanter's vandalism in some articles. Maybe they have something to do with each other. Opinoso (talk) 15:02, 25 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Opinoso has been blocked from portuguese wikipedia for three months for disruptive behaviour, ofend people, prejudice and so on. If you taka a close look, you will se that my editions are valid.
  • [1] Wheres is the source to claim that snows every year? Acctualy it does not snow every year. (And if I'm not mistake, it shoud be "snow falls").
  • [2] There's a source proving what is said there.
  • [3] That's a opinion. There's no source to prove that.
  • [4] He had erased the source. I put it back
  • [5] Opinoso suppressed that Carmen was portuguese. Some people in Brazil believe that she was brazilian, and do not handle well with the fact she wasn't...

Block template bug

the blocking template sometimes does not include </div> in the end so that the colour of the template to stop. see [6] > [7] if you know the source of the template, tell them... --CuteHappyBrute (talk) 15:07, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Troy86 SSP and maybe one other editor

Hello Geniac. I notice that you tagged User:Skanter for sockpuppetry with this edit last July. His name has been mentioned in the above case about Troy86. It is unclear whether Skanter should be added to the case, or if he is merely a bystander and others are trying to get him in trouble. Would welcome any insight you can provide from your earlier experience. EdJohnston (talk) 03:39, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Articles with topics of unclear notability from June 2007, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Articles with topics of unclear notability from June 2007 is used solely by a template that has been deleted (CSD C3).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Articles with topics of unclear notability from June 2007, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Night of the Living Dead

Thank you for spotting my non-sense edit, which I based on my experience that "recent" cult films are never in the public domain, without double checking. I'll be more careful with screenshots in the future. – sgeureka tc 08:46, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wikicleaner

Hi, in this edit [8] you introduced a link to Georgia, which is a disambiguation page and should not be linked to. The correct link for the U.S. state is Georgia (U.S. state). I have noticed several editors using Wikicleaner do the same thing lately. DuncanHill (talk) 10:43, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In fact, having looked more closely at that edit, please read WP:R2D, and stop misusing automated tools to "fix" redirects which are not broken. Thank you. DuncanHill (talk) 12:04, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Userpage image

Why is this constantly being removed from both my userpage and talkpage? It's getting very annoying and there seems to be nothing wrong with the image. Vileplume's Narcotics factory Wanna get high? 04:32, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Geniac. You have new messages at COMPFUNK2's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Use of (disambiguation) redirects

Regarding this edit: These (disambiguation) redirects exist and are used for a reason--to indicate an intentional link to a disambiguation page. When editors are disambiguating erroneous incoming links to dab pages that do not have the (disambiguation) clarifier, they know that the pages linked through the (disambiguation) redirect are intentional and do not require fixing. (Dab pages with the (disambiguation) clarifier, understandably, rarely if ever have mistaken incoming links.) So please don't repair these redirects when they appear in hatnotes, on other dab pages, or in any other context where a deliberate link to the dab page is intended. Cheers! --ShelfSkewed Talk 05:12, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bot welcoming

I was wondering, why doesn't Wkipedia have a bot that automatically welcomes new users (instead of posting the message when they've done a bad edit)? I've noticed that other wikis, even Encyclopedia Dramatica, have used them (Mysterybot is theirs), so I'm surprised we haven't done this yet. Vileplume 05:44, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Presales

Hi, You have removed my link from presales page the link is www.presaleswiki.com, please do not remove links for the sake of it, presaleswiki.com is a wiki and gives much more detailed information about presales as a subject, it is an open wiki. I am sure it complies with all guidelines on the wikipedia, if such a open platform does not meet the guidelines then i suppose that the other links on the page also do not. I would appericiate if you could atleast bother to have a look at the website before deleting the link. Hope you understand. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.241.106.73 (talk) 08:12, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have responded at Talk:Presales. --Geniac (talk) 00:02, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

I was hoping to see a response to my earlier query regarding my earlier post reg www.presaleswiki.com . This is a gentle reminder. I would like to re-itterate that presales wiki is an open WIKI for the community and is not like other links provided on the page.

Hope you are considerate enough 59.94.105.122 (talk) 16:15, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have responded at Talk:Presales. --Geniac (talk) 00:02, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

I understand and appericiate your efforts but let me mention that presaleswiki is the only wiki related to presales on the web rather it is the only website solely ment for presales professionals. I hope you will understand the situation. Our idea is not to develop traffic but to develop a place for presales folks, where they can contribute, we truly follow the spirit of wikipedia. Please consider as a humble request to keep the link. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.241.106.73 (talk) 04:23, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to re-add the link, discuss it at Talk:Presales. --Geniac (talk) 04:28, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry! I'm still getting the hands-on-hang of this and I want to make sure it's as neat as possible. I will take your suggestion into heavy consideration in the future. ~~Aemejia22 22:07, 20 March 2009 (CST)
