Rumours
- It is likely that the field will increase in 2009. It has been hinted that since Round 1 at Donington Park in 2008 there has been over 20 new football clubs showing an interest in entering in the future. Among those teams is rumoured the FC Bayern Munich from Germany, Valencia CF from Spain, Suwon Blue Wings from South Korea, a club from Mexico and another club from Portugal. France, Japan, Russia, South Africa, Poland and Argentina have all shown an interest in entering the championship. Organisers hope to reach a grid of at least 20 cars for 2009.
