New Again is the upcoming 4th studio album by rock band Taking Back Sunday. It will be the first album to include their new guitarist Matthew Fazzi after the departure of Fred Mascherino in mid-2007. The album is scheduled to be released on June 2, 2009. It will be produced by David Kahne. Select tracks will be produced by Matt Squire.

The name of the album was announced through the band's MySpace page on November 6, 2008.[1]

A song off of the album, "Carpathia", was made available as a free download on December 21st to anybody that purchased a TBS Holiday Card Pack. Mark has stated that it is not the finalized version of the song.

On March 14, 2009 the band's website homepage had a cryptic video with flashes of the members faces and "New Again" playing in the background. Later in the video the artwork is revealed and the release date is confirmed for June 2, 2009.

On March 17, 2009 the band revealed new tour dates and is offering a digital download of New Again the minute it comes out for those who purchase tickets.

Taking Back Sunday released a 7' vinyl with Carpathia and a live version of Catholic Knees on April 18.[2]

The album's first single "Sink Into Me" will be released to radio on April 27, 2009.[3] It was also released online via iTunes on April 21, 2009.

Artwork

The same day the band released the date the album would be out, they released the album artwork, it is currently unknown who did the artwork.

In the past the band have expressed that the number 152 always appears on the covers of their albums. On the "Tell All Your Friends" artwork it is simple written in the corner next to the albums title. The next album, "Where You Want To Be" the number is on the sign next to the naked baby, saying "next exit 152 miles. On the Louder Now artwork, the numbers hidden in the price on the theaters sign, "$1.52", and on the "New Again" artwork, it has been hidden to a further extent. The fluffy dice hanging from the rear view mirror has three dice on it, each one showing the numbers 1, 5 and 2 in said order.
