Sholinganallur is a panchayat town in Kancheepuram district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

As of 2001 India census, Sholinganalur had a population of 15,519. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Sholinganallur has an average literacy rate of 72%, higher than the national average of 59.5%.

Sholinganallur Prathyangira Devi Temple

The town is well renowned for this temple, Shri Maha Prathyangira Devi Temple where the Goddess throned gigantic and powerful. Many devotees from various parts of the country regularly visit here. The temple is located close to the junction and half way down the link road of ECR and OMR.
