Windows 8 is the working name[citation needed] of the version of Microsoft Windows to be released after Windows 7. Microsoft has posted job postings for Windows 8. A job posting from April 14, 2009 seeks someone to help with the next generation of the Distributed File System Replication (DFSR) storage technology in Windows 8.[1]

Microsoft is set to start testing Windows 8 protocols in August 2009.
