Re:Infobox speed skater

[edit]

It is not very difficult to do but it is a lot of work to place all medals at the bottom of the infobox, you have to do it in every article which has the template. My idea was to make it like the Template:Infobox Swimmer. StevenZorn (talk) 20:09, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Amy Peterson

[edit]
Updated DYK query On 13 November, 2008, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Amy Peterson, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Your edit summary on Suburb

[edit]

I'm glad to see that you added sources for the generalization about the ethnicity of American suburbs. In the future, please be careful not to inaccurately disparage other users with your edit summaries, as you did in this summary. Your edit did not merely revert my earlier edit; you restored the unsourced sentence that I had deleted in this edit AND you provided sources. Furthermore, please note that I did not say that the generalization was untrue; rather, I said that it was an "unsourced generalization" and "Wikipedia requires sources for verifiability." --Orlady (talk) 03:15, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about omitting my addition of references, that was simply a mistake. As for the edit summary I was surprised that someone was unaware of what I thought was common knowledge especially since Wikipedia has a rather lengthy article devoted to the subject. It was meant to be facetious not to disparage you in anyway. I found it counterintuitive and unproductive to merely cite policy and mindlessly revert when suitable references are available in seconds. ~ Eóin (talk) 04:32, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
