Runes

piling pictures on top of others

Hi Kungming2, This is probably long since outdated, but I just thought I'd let you know that you uploaded a picture over another user's picture back in September 2006. I've noticed that by accident and have uploaded the picture to Commons to make it available to the wider public again. I assume this was just a mishap from your part; just if it wasn't, I'd kindly ask you to respect the work of other users and not upload onto their works. Thanks, Ibn Battuta 04:31, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies, but at that time I felt so as not to duplicate images that had the same subject matter - otherwise, the end result would be an orphaned image notice for the other user as well. Don't worry, it won't happen again. Thanks for the info. –- kungming·2 (Talk) 14:22, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No need to apologize--as I wrote, I didn't expect this to be still an on-going practice... And yes, you're right of course - before the Commons (and its possibility to categorize images or arrange them on extra pages), such images did really get lost easily. So I guess your upload actually saved this one! :o) --Ibn Battuta 00:00, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You have a right to free speech, but there is no right to vandalize articles. –- kungming·2 (Talk) 22:50, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

to editor of wikipedia

Hello, I was wondering why every time I write something very important that will help children gain knowledge in words, why you keep deleting it? Please reply. -Mystery editor (blondeychck7)

Because your edits aren't actually helpful, and please help Wikipedia professional, rather than having childish edits to articles. Thanks! –- kungming·2 (Talk) 23:43, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there, Kungming!

Been awhile since I've checked in. How are you doing? How is school? RL and Wikilife both going fine here. Getting close to my first 1,000 edits, I think. =) I've mostly turned into a wikignome, but I have enjoyed protecting a wide range of pages from POV-creep and have even significantly c/e'd a few! Still yet to create page, but I'm sure I'll get around to it someday soon. =) Take care! --guyzero | talk 21:49, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I finally hit 1,000 edits (including talk pages, etc), and just passed 1 year editing wikipedia two days ago. =) Thought if I should share the news with anyone, it should be with the guy that adopted me, heh. Take care! --guyzero | talk 00:59, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ostrich

Your edit to the Ostrich article was pure vandalism. You edited a simple fact and you denied the public from seeing it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Westvoja (talkcontribs) 22:03, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

.... I really am tired of self-righteous vandals. Ask other people on the talk page if you want. –- kungming·2 02:22, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Super Bowl

This edit was probably not appropriate. The changes you reverted were not all vandalism. Superm401 - Talk 03:29, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There was so much vandalism going on at the time, some edits were bound to have been accidentally reverted. In the end though, that's better than having "GIANTS RULE!!" as the article, right? –- kungming·2 03:53, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

got a message that i changed something

hey I'm a frequent user of wiki but haven't signed up or anything but i just got a message that i vandalized the New Zealand page by replacing words with OZZY. I never did this, I've never even changed anything on wikipedia. I have no idea what this is about, you sent me a message that said i could be blocked from wiki so I'm kind of worried. I'm sorry but you must have made a mistake.

Fair use rationale for Image:Amherst College Seal.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Amherst College Seal.png. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 02:02, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request Lock on Jin Dynasty (1115-1234) page to prevent vandalism

From the last discussion and a poll by participating members have decided it is wrong to say the origin of the Jin Dynasty rulers are koreans. However, nationalist koreans have once again added the section that Jin Dynasty rulers are from Korea. This is unreasonable and unethnical. And this have been ongoing for some time now which will end up as an edit war sooner or later.

Reading from your contributions i trust that you are a responsible, fair and capable member of wikipedia. I would be greatful if protection can be initiated on the Jin Dynasty page.

Orphaned non-free media (File:Apple iWork 08 Box.png)

Thanks for uploading File:Apple iWork 08 Box.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:04, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

I noticed that you've commented on the talk page for Han Dynasty in the past. I recently rewrote the entire article. Since you've showed interest in the past, would you mind leaving a comment on the talk page about its current state? I'm trying to build further consensus on how to improve the article.--Pericles of AthensTalk 19:15, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Betty Brown

Please do not make statements attacking people or groups of people. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages and images are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images in violation of our biographies of living persons policy will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Left a note on your page. It certainly is a page worth keeping. –- kungming·2 02:04, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Drbbds.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Drbbds.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 72.88.40.120 (talk) 03:55, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
