Osman Chávez is a Honduran football defender, who most currently plays for Platense. He previously played for Motagua. He made his debut for the national side on February 6, 2008 in a friendly against Paraguay thanks to his loan to Motagua. He returned back to Platense against his own will since he was loaned for only a year and Platense's asking price for him was too high. He is nicknamed "El Tierno"(The Tender).
On 24th August 2009 it was reported that Tottenham have made a move to sign Osman Chavez from his current club.
