Episodes

Friend or Foe

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode A special episode. Patchy becomes the fry cook at The Poop Deck, a local sea food/burger restaurant. He becomes upset, however, after Polly is appointed the Assistant Manager.

Meanwhile, Mr. Krabs, Plankton, and Karen tell the story of Krabs and Plankton's former friendship. But things are a bit complicated...

The Original Fry Cook

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode SpongeBob tries to impress a world-renowned chef named Jim, who once worked at the Krusty Krab. He realizes Jim is much better than him, so SpongeBob writes Mr. Krabs a resignation letter because he is sure that he will be fired and replaced by him. But he later discovers that he won't be fired, and Jim only came to visit, and that the main reason that he quit working at the Krusty Krab was because he demanded that Mr. Krabs give him a raise, only for Mr. Krabs to interpret it as an uproariously funny joke. Jim tells SpongeBob that, while he is a good cook, he will only be a great one when he quits the Krusty Krab.

  • Characters not in this episode: Patrick Star, Sandy Cheeks, Mrs. Puff

Night Light

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode After reading a story about the bogeyman, SpongeBob becomes scared of the dark, buying night lights in bulk. Patrick admits he is scared of the dark too. Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy come to the pineapple and say that there is nothing to be afraid of, after he flashes the Mermaid Man signal. But an enemy of Mermaid Man, known as The Moth, arrives. Mermaid Man has been pursuing him for more than 50 years, and attempts to defeat him. However, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy are defeated. SpongeBob attempts to trap The Moth in a lighthouse (that, along with other objects, SpongeBob and Patrick placed onto SpoongeBob's house in order to illuminate it). However, The Moth, who has flight and super strength abilities, flies away, taking the lighthouse and most of SpongeBob's house with him. Once the sun comes up, SpongeBob gets over his fear of the dark.

  • Characters not in "Night Light": Sandy Cheeks, Mrs. Puff, Pearl Krabs

Rise and Shine

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode SpongeBob wakes up one day and wonders what Patrick does every morning. It is discovered that Patrick is very disorganized in the morning and does not think clearly (i.e. "I've got to put on my teeth and brush my pants!").

Waiting

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode SpongeBob gets enough cereal box tops to get a prize in the mail. SpongeBob wants his prize really badly so he stands by the mail waiting for it. Patrick starts waiting with him. The toy comes and they think they have broken it. Squidward comes and tells them the toy was supposed to "break" and the two are relieved.

Fungus Among Us

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode SpongeBob wakes up finding Gary eating a green piece of goop on the floor. SpongeBob gets some on him but goes to work anyway, unaware of the imminent consequences. He later finds out it is the Ick, a terrible fungal infection that causes extreme itchiness. Eventually, the Ick spreads to everyone in the Krusty Krab (staff, customers). But Gary eats the Ick fungus off of everybody, thus curing them.

Spy Buddies

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode Mr. Krabs apparently sends SpongeBob and Patrick to find out what Plankton is up to. Then SpongeBob makes a gunbarrel sequence (the real cause was Patrick was looking at SpongeBob from a straw). SpongeBob and Patrick go around town spying on Plankton and his various activities. When Plankton attacks the Krusty Krab, Patrick retaliates by blowing his blimp up.

SpongeBob and Patrick discover that in reality, Mr. Krabs and Plankton switched places to see how hard it is to live each other's lives. Later, SpongeBob wrongly assumes that Squidward is actually someone else in disguise and rips his face off, only to discover that he is Squidward. Squidward tells him that it's not a disguise, reclaims his face and leaves. Later, SpongeBob and Patrick see something strange and mysterious: there are two Patricks?

Boat Smarts

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode Mrs. Puff (and everybody else in Bikini Bottom who is deeply afraid of the consequences of letting a reckless driver like SpongeBob on the road) produce a video of how to be a good driver, and what a bad driver is like, and discourages bad driving. She uses Squidward as the good driver, and SpongeBob as the bad one (obviously). She explains how one can be like Squidward, and in the end SpongeBob destroys the whole town. He then claims that he actually has boat smarts, and says "Looks like you forgot your boat smarts" to Squidward and Mrs. Puff.

Good Ol' Whatshisname

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode Mr. Krabs tells SpongeBob and Squidward that if they learn the names of all who dine at the Krusty Krab, they will win a prize. Squidward and SpongeBob are even in the contest; Squidward tries to find out the last guy's name to win. When Squidward asks him for his name, he seemingly says, "What's it to ya?". Squidward steals his driver's license, only to discover the guy's name is "What Zit Tooya". The police haul Squidward off to jail, where he's nevertheless convinced he will be released in ten years and go on a fabulous ocean liner cruise. While there, Mr. Krabs arrives to tell him otherwise: he's only won a brochure, which disappoints him. Squidward is also dismayed because can't even get any peace and quiet, as he has Patrick as a cellmate.

New Digs

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode One day SpongeBob is a minute late for work because he overslept the night before. SpongeBob begins to worry. He tries his best to impress Mr. Krabs by being an on-time employee. He tells Mr. Krabs he is a minute late and begs Mr. Krabs to forgive him for what he did. Then, inspired by a sarcastic suggestion from Squidward, SpongeBob gets an idea: he'll now live at the Krusty Krab so he'll never be tardy again. Soon he goes too far, as he carelessly mixes his life at home with the Krusty Krab, causing problems (i.e. displacing things). Eventually Mr. Krabs kicks SpongeBob out, and he and Squidward are neighbors again. Squidward doesn't like having SpongeBob as a neighbor, so Squidward moves in to the Krusty Krab. Mr. Krabs doesn't like this idea...

Krabs a La Mode

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode Mr. Krabs has a very "precious" thermostat, which is always set at 62 degrees (as he fears that adjusting it will give him a higher bill to pay for). Squidward is upset about this and tries to adjust it to 63 degrees, but is caught. That day Plankton plans to freeze the Krusty Krab out of business. That night, when all of the staff and customers leave, Plankton sets it to -15 degrees and tapes a "62 degrees" sign over it, freezing the Krusty Krab and apparently filling it with ice. The next day, Squidward is upset about the frozen restaurant, but Mr Krabs refuses to turn it up. Squidward is unable to deliver the Krabby Patties to the customers because of the ice. The customers leave like Plankton planned- but they then decide to come back (this time with winter clothes), much to Plankton's dismay. Everyone is soon playing around with the frozen patties, with a local hockey team deciding to play hockey with them for example. Mr. Krabs takes this to his advantage by charging the frozen patties. Plankton gets upset that Mr. Krabs is making more money than ever, so he plans to invade the Krusty Krab. He does, but fails to get the formula. Plankton then reveals what he has done to the thermostat, and then uses the thermostat to freeze Spongebob, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, Squidward, and the customers, but accidentally falls off and turns the thermostat dial he was using, thus unfreezing them. Mr. Krabs then uses the thermostat to freeze Plankton into an ice cube.

Mr. Krabs melts the water into a swimming pool where Patrick, Spongebob, Squidward, and the customers swim in. Mr. Krabs is seen lounging in the pool on an inflatable chair, and Plankton is an in ice cube in the lemonade he's drinking from...

Roller Cowards

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode A new ride called "The Fiery Fist o' Pain" opens at Glove World and SpongeBob and Patrick want to ride it. That night, they both have bad dreams about it, and change their minds, unknown to each other. Once they get to Glove World, SpongeBob and Patrick go on all the kiddie rides, both trying to avoid the new coaster without disclosing their fears. When they finally go on it, they like it and want to go on it again. But before they can go on it again, they have a little bit of trouble as their spines detach from their bodies...

Bucket Sweet Bucket

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode Karen yells at Plankton for making the Chum Bucket dirty and wants him to get somebody to clean it. Plankton gets SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward to do it. Plankton sneaks into the Krusty Krab to get the formula while everybody is gone. When he does, he finds out it is just Mr. Krabs "to do" list. The three transform the Chum Bucket into the Krusty Krab. Mr. Krabs returns from his vacation to Africa and takes back the Krusty Krab. He revealed that he took his formula with him on his vacation, saying that he "isn't stupid enough to leave his formula behind on vacation.".

To Love a Patty

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode SpongeBob cooks up a perfect patty and doesn't want anybody to eat it. SpongeBob keeps the patty and falls in love with it. SpongeBob starts to take the patty everywhere, even fighting against those who want to eat it, and takes it on a date at the Krusty Krab. After several hours, the patty is so old, rotten, spoiled, and ugly looking, Mr. Krabs makes him eat it. SpongeBob does this reluctantly, and gets a stomach sickness.

Breath of Fresh Squidward

Template:Infobox SpongeBob episode Squidward has built an electric fence. After getting shocked by it while leaving his house, he starts to like SpongeBob and Patrick. SpongeBob thinks Squidward is trying to steal Patrick from him, and makes Squidward go home after he has a party at Patrick's house. Squidward gets shocked by his own fence again and goes back to normal, but SpongeBob and Patrick also get shocked and they become grumpy and very mean, just like Squidward. The grumpy trio then start yelling at each other.

SpongeBob challenges the machine and wins, but after the machine breaks down, he is so tired, he drops to the ground. The bystanders throw a funeral, but it turns out that SpongeBob is indeed alive and happy, and that the funeral is actually for the machine.

  • This episode is a parody of the tall tale about John Henry.
  • The narration and dialogue in this episode make heavy use of rhyming.
"Slimy Dancing" Squidward competes against SpongeBob and Patrick in a dance contest. Squidward did not make it to the finals, contrary to his expectations, but SpongeBob and Patrick do. They ask Squidward how he did, but he lies that he's so great, he's been banned from the competition. SpongeBob and Patrick ask him to be their mentor. While doing so, Patrick gets a cramp in his pants and Squidward finds himself in SpongeBob's body. He decides to control the sponge's moves so he take credit if SpongeBob wins. SpongeBob wins, but is disqualified when Squidward is discovered. Many of the finalists have been dancing with assistance, and are thus disqualified on the basis of cheating. Patrick wins the competition by default because he was the only one who did not cheat, although there is still a cramp in his pants (which is treated as a dance).

In the epilogue, the Cramp becomes the latest dance craze.

89(174)(175) July 24, 2007 "The Krusty Sponge" A food critic named Gene Scallop comes to the Krusty Krab to review the restaurant. At first, he says the management stinks and "you can get livlier help in a graveyard". As a last resort, Mr. Krabs serves him a Krabby Patty, which gives them a good review. In the review, the restaurant is praised because of SpongeBob and his excellent frycook skills. People start liking SpongeBob and his food, so Mr. Krabs turns the restaurant into the "Krusty Sponge" which is SpongeBob-themed. While SpongeBob is forced to take the customers on a train ride around the restaurant several times, the Spongy Patty becomes the new attraction, which little did the customers know, were useless patties they didn't have room for in the freezer, and when they eat it, they become ill and get yellow skin (with some dark yellow spots). Mr. Krabs is arrested on the charge of food poisoning and has to go to court, but the judge is a huge SpongeBob fan, so Mr. Krabs bribes him and gets acquitted, although Squidward is forced to drive the judge around on the SpongeBob Train as many times as the judge wants.

Apparently, SpongeBob likes it despite having everything he owned destroyed by the song, and he helps Patrick get it on the radio. The radio station refuses, so they hijack the radio tower and the entire town is forced to listen to the song. This causes an angry mob to form and go after them, and in the end, SpongeBob and Patrick are hit by dodgeballs.

SpongeBob comments that they are going to have to live the rest of their lives in fleas instead of water, and this gives Sandy the idea of flooding the treedome with water by leaving the doors open. While this succeeds in exterminating the fleas, the entire ocean and everyone in it is absorbed into the treedome as well...
"The Donut of Shame" SpongeBob and Patrick have a party. The next day, Patrick takes the donut he saw from SpongeBob's hand. When Patrick gets home he remembers that the donut is SpongeBob's. Patrick tries to hide the donut when SpongeBob comes to his house. When SpongeBob came to Patrick's house he showed a video, showing SpongeBob gave the donut to Patrick on his birthday. They decide to share it, but because Patrick put it in so many places while trying to hide it, Spongebob has a weird look on his face, possibly a look of upset taste buds.
"The Krusty Plate" SpongeBob is going home after work and Mr. Krabs tells him that he missed a spot on a plate. Mr. Krabs reminds him that no one is allowed to go home until the entire restaurant is cleaned. SpongeBob tries various ways to wash the plate, but the spot doesn't come off. SpongeBob gets a giant gun that involves several energy beams and fires at the spot with the gun and turned it on up to maximum power. The spot comes off, but he destroys the Krusty Krab.
  • During one scene, SpongeBob yells that crossing the beams might end all of humanity ("It may end life as we know it, but I am crossing the beams!"), a parody of Ghostbusters.
91(179)(180) July 19, 2009 "Goo Goo Gas" Plankton invents a gas that turns adults into babies in an attempt to get SpongeBob, Mr. Krabs and Squidward out of his way and to take the Krabby Patty secret formula. At the opening night, they take the fake ship, but their plan fails due to its deadly resemblance to a real ship. Just as the warden punishes the prisoners, the counselor to SpongeBob's camp arrives, saying that one of the campers were missing. SpongeBob stays in the cave for a long time, so long he grows hair. SpongeBob builds a stone statue of himself and sends it outside the cave to make music to get the jellyfish to go away from him. SpongeBob finds it is not enough, so he goes into the cave again and makes more, larger ones, and send them outside. The jellyfish like it, and are distracted from SpongeBob, so he gets away. He goes to the Krusty Krabs, only to find that the wind has caused the restaurant to be engulfed in sand. He says, "How long have I been gone?!", and yells, "Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!".

But SpongeBob eventually can't take this any more, and SpongeBob tells Mr. Krabs about how he was constantly covering up for Stanley's mishaps. But Mr. Krabs has an idea— he tells Stanley to get a job at the Chum Bucket, assuming he'll mess things up there. Plankton hires Stanley, thinking that his fry cook skills would be as good as SpongeBob's, as Stanley is related to him by blood. But Stanley accidentally destroys the Chum Bucket...
