American singer Britney Spears has embarked on sixth concert tours, four of which have been world tours. Her first headlining tour, the …Baby One More Time Tour, was in North America only. In 2000 she embarked on her first worldwide tour, the Oops!... I Did It Again World Tour which visited North America, Europe and Brazil. The Dream Within a Dream Tour, which lasted two years, marked the first time Spears visited Japan and Mexico. The Onyx Hotel Tour in 2004, which had five legs planned, was cancelled after the second leg due to Spears' knee injury.

Spears did not fully go on to the road again until 2009 with The Circus: Starring Britney Spears. The tour will mark the first time Spears will tour Australia. It is currently the highest grossing tour of the year in the US and the third highest grossing worldwide. [1] Since the beginning of her career, her concert tours have been seen for over ten million people. [2]

Spears has also embarked on promotional tours for the release of her studio albums …Baby One More Time (1999), Oops!... I Did It Again (2000), Britney (2001), In the Zone (2003), and Circus (2008). She also produced a small tour while recording Blackout, The M+M's Tour, in House of Blues venues around the United States.
