Thanks. It seemed like Spot had some issues and I was bored of dealing with him frankly. -Zahd (talk) 10:03, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
Thanks
Wow, thank you for this edit; it's amazing how dramatically such an addition can improve a stub article. Danke, Skomorokh 14:35, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- It's a lazy way improve a page :) Now for the difficult bit... Misarxist 13:11, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
I was just about to remove the tag as you deleted it. Note per she meets WP:POLITICIAN as an elected member of a state government. (see [1]]) Could you please undelete? Misarxist 15:23, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
- Done, but the article needs more than what it currently has - if it still has no more content than it presently does in a few days, it should be merged into the election article. fish&karate 15:28, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
I left a reply on my talk page
Please take a look there. It's a long reply, but, as they say, I didn't have time to write a shorter one. I appreciate your message. Reconsideration (talk) 16:45, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
Great move
I like that edit with the Bengali names a lot. I hadn't thought of that. Thanks! (Notice that by annotating the redlinked names on that page, using anthologies and books about that nation's poetry [found by searching Google Books], we can cover the notable poets while avoiding hoax/vandalism/vanity additions). Run From the Cure
You left a message saying that I had to improve the Wikipedia topic "Run From the Cure" so it wouldn't be deleted. Run From the Cure is a very important documentary about hemp oil, thus it is essential that it have an article. So, what do I have to do? Kaabi
note from G-Dett
Hi Misarxist, I somehow initially missed your excellent post at Israeli settlement. I have now responded at some length. I agree with the thrust of what you said, and have clarified my position accordingly, while presenting supporting RS material.
Take care,--G-Dett (talk) 17:53, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
Araya
Personnally I don't care, I just created the article as a repository to remove this information from the Araya article, the city in Venezuela, where it did not belong. To be fair, I have copied and pasted your warning message on the talk page of Dgo keir (talk), the user who had put this information in the Araya page in the first hand. Your requested whitelisting of lyrikline.org page
You requested whitelisting in this closed discussion at MediaWiki_talk:Spam-whitelist. I've been reviewing a number of blacklistings and lyrikline.org just might be a poster boy for abusive blacklisting. See User:Abd/Blacklist/lyrikline.org for a history of the blacklisting; in summary, a user thought the links useful, as did you, and started adding them. He was blocked, most of the links were removed (cross-wiki vandalism, anyone?), and the article here, Lyrikline.org was unceremoniously deleted. I have had the article userfied at User:Abd/Lyrikline.org. Blacklist administrators form a fairly solid phalanx; however, I don't think the decisions will stand up to wider consideration, and I'm proceeding up the dispute resolution ladder one step at a time. I have requested comment at Portal_talk:Literature#A_possibly_useful_external_link_for_articles_on_Poets. If you are interested, I would notify you of such process as might ensue, such as a deletion review for the article on lyrikline.org, or related matters. Let me know. --Abd (talk) 22:25, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
- You may be interested to know that my whitelisting effort for Lyrikline.org succeeded, and Michael Kruger is now festooned with the link. Thanks for your whitelist proposal; it was through it that I noticed Lyrikline.org, and I believe that many articles will benefit. I just made the edit; it's possible that there may be some objection, and I obviously can't guarantee that the link will remain, but we have followed process and procedure cautiously and carefully, so I'm quite hopeful. The question may be raised whether or not the article has too many external links; if so, the question will become one of priority or precedence. --Abd (talk) 15:25, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Neturei Karta/Moshe Beck
You say "we're going to need some very good sources for that". I gave the source, it's a book by Beck where he discusses all that I posted. Read the book and then decide whether I'm making things up. Also, take a look at http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2002/jul/21/israelandthepalestinians.features for Beck's attitude about living in Israel. Why would he feel it's wrong to live in Israel when many anti-Zionists live there? If you want to know the answer, read his book. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.246.100.95 (talk) 02:48, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
- Should have said I wondered about "Consequently, he concludes that it's forbidden to visit Israel, and one must allow himself to be killed rather than violate the prohibition." (It's all fairly standard until that bit?) Is that last sentence literally what he says, and/or is it an indication of how seriously he takes the prohibition to be? (Yes I can't read Hebrew, I'm just going on general knowledge. In theory we should have other sources saying what he believes, but as you can see from the state of that article, this particular rule is more theory than practise.;)--Misarxist (talk) 08:03, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
Death of a Cad
I am trying to bring the entries for this [Hamish Macbeth novels] series up to scratch. I am limited, as are most editors, in the time I have to do this. I would be most grateful if you could take a look at what I have done. My intention is to put in place a foundation for others to work on. Thus far, I have edited the work of others. I appreciate all contibutions to Wikipedia and would never denigrate the works of others. So my edits are not criticisms. Advise from you would be most appreciated. About A Fringe of Leaves
Hi Misarxist,
First of all, wow!, you have the first edition! See: Grown up enough to properly understand White?. Mmm. you and I have been through that, and I would argue that the image caption in this edit should be re-included, per WP:Caption.
Your thoughts about this?
--Shirt58 (talk) 13:18, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
- Apologies. Should have more closely read the page diffs. Guilty as charged, Your Worship - I am incontrovertibly a recidivist and incorrigible muddle-headed wombat.--Shirt58 (talk) 13:32, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Talk:Left-Islamist alliance

Aritcle: Physics of the Impossible
Ok there is now a new introduction, with citations, and I moved the page to the correct title that matches the book. Ti-30X (talk) 23:34, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Redirect
I did the redirect because the title of the article did not match the title of the book, now it does. In addition, there were no citations or references anyplace in the article, and therefore did not meet the notability requirements. So, I re-wrote the intro - with references. One more thing, the reference section for this article had been removed and I restored it. Ti-30X (talk) 01:24, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Sarah Leah Whitson
Hi,
"It is positive that Human Rights Watch has decided to examine itself and has started investigating the behavior of one of its staff, behavior that would seem to be totally inappropriate for someone who works for a human rights organization," said Netanyahu spokesman Mark Regev, adding that he would urge the group to continue with such investigations and not stop at Garlasco.
Regev asked whether it was logical that "a whole series of individuals who work in the Middle East department of Human Rights Watch have histories in partisan anti-Israeli politics."
Specifically, he was referring to Sarah Leah Whitson director of the Middle East Division, who in the past was a board member of the New York chapter of the Arab-American Anti-Discrimination Committee, and Joe Stork, who worked for the Middle East Research and Information Project, a group Regev described as "definitely a partisan anti-Israel organization."
The administration of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also weighed in, but its views on groups like Human Rights Watch were already clear. Mr. Netanyahu’s policy director, Ron Dermer, told The Jerusalem Post in July, “We are going to dedicate time and manpower to combating these groups; we are not going to be sitting ducks in a pond for the human rights groups to shoot at us with impunity.”
It is clear from the statements of Mr. Dermer in the NYT that Mr. Regev's public comments are aimed at finding fault with any and all HRW staff members. This is purely within the disrection of the Israeli government, but I do not know why this fact is inappropriate for the Sarah Leah Whitton article. Thanks,--69.208.131.94 (talk) 13:11, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
- One might wonder why we need so much 'finding fault' from people who obviously wld disagree with her ;) but with that specific quote, I was assuming as it's a BLP we shld only use sources that specificly refer to her by name. Sorry should have pointed out that my concern was BLP related.--Misarxist (talk) 13:18, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
- The idea would be as background information to a reader who may not be aware. Could you provide more clarifcation about how you feel?
- Do you feel the dependency on op-eds for essentially one event is appropriate for a BLP?
- Thanks, --69.208.131.94 (talk) 13:22, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
- Hadn't noticed that, but yes op-eds probably aren't the best under the circumstances. What I forgot to mention was that I'm not sure how relevant comments which are primarily about the organisation are to the bio of the orgs members. And also how relevant comments from politicians whose policies are being criticised. Ideally the quotes would be from 3rd party sources.--Misarxist (talk) 13:37, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
Joe Stork
Thank you for weighing in. Your continued input in the matter until a resolution is reached would be appreciated if you would like to provide it. Thanks, --69.208.131.53 (talk) 23:47, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
- I just noticed our previous encounter on the Sarah Leah Whitson article. It's a small wiki.--69.208.131.53 (talk) 02:45, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
