Pattaya United Football Club (Thai: สโมสรฟุตบอลพัทยา ยูไนเต็ด) is a Thai football club based in Pattaya, Chonburi province. The club currently plays in the top division in Thai football, the Thai Premier League. Their local rivals are Chonburi FC and Sriracha FC. The club previous name is Coke-Bangpra Chonburi FC which changed to Pattaya United in 2009.

Pattaya's first ever competitive game was against Thailand Division 2 League side Raj Pracha FC in the 2009 Queen's Cup which they overcame the minnows 5-0.

Overview

Coke-Bangpra Chonburi FC

The club was founded under the name Coke-Bangpra Chonburi FC which derived from the sponsor and the community Bang Phra (บางพระ) in the district Si Racha, the province of Chonburi. After several years in the Provincial League of Thailand, the club had spent succeeded ascent in 2007 and was promoted to the Thai Premier League. In the first season of the top flight division, the team finished with a 11th Place at the end of the season.

In mid-December 2008,it has been announced that a company shares in the Coke-Bangpra FC of Coca-Cola bought 10% but remained at Coca-Cola, which also remains the main sponsor of the club will be.

Virtually the entire club, including management, bureau and players will be completely transferred to Pattaya United. It is the first time in the history of Thai football that a club was taken over and moved to another site will be installed. Within the fan scene in Thailand was over this kind of rejection.

Rivalries

The club fierce rivals are Chonburi FC and Sriracha FC which all are in the same province of Chonburi. As a reminder and to the fans of the old Coke-Bangpra FC, the club away jersey is the colors of the old club home jersey, Red-Black.

Stadium

The club home stadium holds only 3000 spectators making Nongprue Municipality sports unsubscribe. Since the space is not yet fully meet the requirements of the Thai League, the club will start the season with the standards have been adjusted accordingly.

With the construction of a new stadium has already begun. It is adjacent to the indoor sports stadium will be completed in 2013. The first phase will be in 2010, then in 5000 the stadium spectators can. At the end of the second phase, 2013, the stadium will be 20,000 spectators space. It is a sports stadium with athletic career. In addition, there should be a Wswimming pool with 50m in length and 8 lanes. A tennis center court with room for 2,000 spectators and 12 training venues, as well as volleyball and beach volleyball courts. The total cost for the project with 744 million baht respectively
