hi -- I have no idea what you're cursing in Chinese, put since I met you before on the Urumqi riots article, I will revert your "opponent" for now... I see you're busy filing a sock-case. cheers! Seb az86556 (talk) 09:02, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

anti-PRC bias at wikipedia

Hi, have you noticed a certain anti-PRC systematic bias present at wikipedia? For example, just compare the Mao Zedong article to the Chiang Kai-shek article.--PCPP (talk) 12:16, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

BTW nice to meet you, I was from the PRC as well, and I just started my university term in Sydney this year. We seem to share similar interests eg Chinese politics and video games :)--PCPP (talk) 12:20, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Anti-Ming bias in China?

I've immigrated out of the Fatherland since I was six, but I've noticed that Chinese seem to have a negative perception of the Ming and some even support the barbaric rule of the Yuan and Qing over the Ming. This is not only unjust but also a great insult to Chinese culture; if you have read the Ming article, you will notice that it is one of China's golden ages, perhaps the greatest one, better than even Han and Tang. If Ming had not been taken over by Manchu, perhaps it will be Anglo saxons immigrating to China rather than me immigrating out. Have a good time editing!Teeninvestor (talk) 20:33, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject Russia

Hi, i am glad to notice, that you edit many pages that I have in my watchlist as a participant of the Wikiproject Russia. Feel free to add your name to the list of the participants there. (Btw, having checked your userboxes, I wanted to ask if you really support the Juche regime of North Korea, given that you say you're a firm supporter of a united China?). Anyway, regards, --Miacek and his crime-fighting dog (woof!) 19:36, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand your licensing for this image. Was it created by you? If so, fair use does not apply, and you must either apply a compatible license or have the image deleted. Besides, I don't think a non-free image should be used on this page, especially since there are so many free images available. I have removed the image from the page in the meantime, pending your clarification. -RunningOnBrains(talk) 20:52, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Delete it. I ended up using the wrong license by using the wrong section of the upload form. Sorry. -- 李博杰  | Talk contribs email 09:56, 25 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've now had comments from Bhtpbank. Although your edit was correct (replacing the wrong flag with the correct one), your edit summary was inappropriate. Please remember to use approprate edit summaries in future. As I said to Bhtpbank, my aim in posting to the talk page was to nip any possible edit war in the bud and negate the need for any admin action. I don't want to block editors if it can be avoided, but I will do so if it is necessary. Hopefully this will be the end of the matter. Mjroots (talk) 07:37, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Multilingual support to Japan-Korea Undersea Tunnel article, can you assist?

Hi Benlinsquare −greetings! I noticed your contributions to today's featured article on Chinese classifiers and would like to see if you could contribute some maintenance to the simplified Chinese version of the Japan-Korea Tunnel article. The English version, which I contribute to, has undergone several updates which have not been reflected in the simplified version. I consider that article highly important −if the project is given the green light to go ahead it would likely have important implications and contributions to the security and economy of the entire region of northeast Asia. I'm also seeking a Russian translation of the article, as I believe that Russia would also benefit from the project. Thanks if you can assist..... Ciao and best: HarryZilber (talk) 13:55, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

I doubt Norway's the best place to live(have fun paying 70% taxes) but I never doubted China's a good place to live. Think about it:

  • cheap food/stuff in general
  • servants for 700 yuan a month
  • low taxes

What couldn't u like?Teeninvestor (talk) 00:42, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hu Jintao

I have never realized just how bad the Hu Jintao article is. I've tried fixing parts of the lede in the past but the article suffers from serious sourcing and copyediting issues. With about two thousand page views per day, and being freely called the "second-most powerful man on earth", maybe its time we assembled a task force to clean this up? Colipon+(Talk) 23:24, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

is about an image you uploaded which was transfered to Commons. Also a template you created, Template:CopyrightedFreeUse-DPRK was deleted from Commons because it is fair use. It should be marked as fair use here on en.wikipedia as well. --Martin H. (talk) 19:23, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use is permitted on EN Wiki however. Refer to Template:Non-free fair use in, Template:Non-free film screenshot, etc. Also, that image should not have been transferred to Commons. That is human error that is beyond me. -- 李博杰  | Talk contribs email 00:21, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Of course it is, but at the moment Template:CopyrightedFreeUse-DPRK is not a fair use tag, it is a "CopyrightedFreeUseTag". This term suggests that the copyright holder gave permission that everyone can use his work in terms of free use, something like the free copyright template Template:CopyrightedFreeUse or even on Commons commons:Template:CopyrightedFreeUse - including commercial use e.g., something close to public domain. You should change it and sort it into Category:Non-free Wikipedia file copyright tags. --Martin H. (talk) 00:54, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
A quick rename should fix this. -- 李博杰  | Talk contribs email 03:16, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
