Samuel Davis Dalembert (born May 10, 1981) is a Haitian-Canadian professional basketball player who plays center for the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers. Dalembert began playing in Montreal, Quebec and played college basketball at Seton Hall University in New Jersey, United States. Dalembert is known for his excellent goaltending ability; he averages around two blocks per game, placing him among the league's elite in this category. He was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti and lived there for two years before moving to Montreal.
International career
Dalembert became a Canadian citizen on August 7, 2007 and joined the Canadian national team in hopes of qualifying for the Olympics.[2] However, in July 2008 Dalembert was dismissed from the team during the World Olympic Qualifying Tournament.[3]
