reg references
Hi, thanks for your greetings. IS it necessary that i need to show references. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nagaprashanna (talk • contribs)
- Hello, and welcome. The articles you've created look like you're off to a good start so far, but in order to maintain a WP:Neutral point of view and avoid adding WP:Original research, all content added to Wikipedia needs to be WP:Verifiable. Please let me know if you'd like a hand with this. Thanks, MuffledThud (talk) 10:00, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
Who did you delete kobbatrú????

new article added - references
Hello, I've just added a couple of new articles after I noticed the guest house lodging accommodation articles with missing or incomplete information.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guest_house_(lodging)
After which I also added a couple of new articles referring to tariff information, following the same format as the guest house lodging stub article.
Sorry didn't mean to infringe on guidelines, just followed guest house lodging example with reference to the accommodation and tariff page at www.bookbedandbreakfast.com
Is there an etiquette for adding references?
or are they just not allowed?
regards

- Hello, and welcome. Please have a read of WP:ELNO for more info on what sort of external linking to avoid. Thanks, MuffledThud (talk) 13:26, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
Guest House lodging
Hi, how do I edit any errors that I notice as the Guest House lodging has a reference which links to an error 404 page on Coast Guard page?
regards

- I've tagged the article for references and removed all the references that were in Guest house (lodging), as didn't support the assertions for which they were given. I'll try to find some neutral references that are actually citations supporting what's written there. Thanks, MuffledThud (talk) 13:46, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
I was just gearing up to AfD this, reckoning that a PROD would probably be contested. We'll see. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 15:31, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, in fact at this point it qualifies for a speedy. It was originally part of a walled garden of 3, and creators of these do tend to fight for the last article. Wish I'd given it a bit more thought. Ah well. Thanks, MuffledThud (talk) 15:34, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: Naveen Sawhney
Hello MuffledThud. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Naveen Sawhney, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. Thank you. GedUK 20:11, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- Hello Ged UK. Sorry but I'm going to have to disagree here. How has the article asserted notability per WP:BIO? Thanks, MuffledThud (talk) 20:28, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker)A7 is completely separate from BIO. It's of a lower standard, so something failing BIO may still pass A7. - Kingpin13 (talk) 20:30, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- Alright, I've prodded it then. I can find almost nothing about him online apart from one passing mention in an article about his company. MuffledThud (talk) 20:34, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- Out of curiosity, Kingpin13, why are you answering a talkback I left on Ged UK's page? Thanks, MuffledThud (talk) 20:35, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- I actually had your talk page watchlisted, just thought I should point out the difference to you, feel free to tell me to bugger off :). - Kingpin13 (talk) 20:40, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- No no, don't bugger off. Thanks for watchlisting my page. :-)

- CSD is a lower threshold. All the article needs to do is make a credible assertion of notability, and for me, being CEO (or whatever it was) of a company notable enough for an article (and not nominated for deletion) is a such an assertion. GedUK 20:40, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- True enough. It's a fairly subjective threshold, but it's perfectly reasonable for an editor to define "head of a large company" as within that threshold, and I'm content to go along with that. 20:45, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- Speedy categories are, by and large, quite subjective. Copyvio isn't, but spam is (when is it total spam, as opposed to a bit advertorial, for example). I've a feeling I'm one of the more generous admins that patrol CSD, particularly on A7, so it's probably your bad luck you got me ;) GedUK 21:20, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Sorry i had a bit of trouble understanding the guidelines and can you please specify the exact reason for deleting my new thing?
Haven't even begun to make it and it's already up for deletion, kinda hurts. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Joytech22 (talk • contribs) 11:29, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
- My apologies: I meant no offense in nominating the article for deletion. I nominated it as there was no assertion of notability for the web site. The administrator who deleted it was User:Bwilkins: if you believe it was deleted in error, then you could post to that editor's talk page and ask for an undeletion, or you could use Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion to request it. You could also re-create the article in a Wikipedia:User subpage, where you can take your time adding detail establishing why the site is notable per WP:WEB, to ensure it doesn't get deleted again. Please let me know if I can help with any of this. Thanks, MuffledThud (talk) 11:39, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks
That was fast, and an edit conflict (at Rudolf Roß) as I tried to correct my error. Thanks Sebastian scha. (talk) 13:26, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

can I work on my deleted article again?
Hi MuffledThud, I recently posted an article about Kevin Wenrich the football player on Wikipedia. I believe you needed to delete it because I perhaps was unable to show enough notability for Kevin although he has been mentioned in articles and a podcast interview with LancSports.com. If his college needs to be omitted or if I need some kind of citation anywhere could you please let me know what I need to add or take away in order for my article to be allowed on Wikipedia? I would really appreciate it if I could be allowed to edit the actual text I originally wrote up before. Thank you for being able to help me out! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Benbarr11 (talk • contribs) 14:37, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
- Hello, and welcome. User:Nancy was the admin who deleted the article: I only proposed it for deletion. But have a read of WP:NSPORT before you put too much work in on this: it's very unlikely that any school athlete would be notable enough for a Wikipedia article. Thanks, MuffledThud (talk) 14:39, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

Hi MuffledThud, Thanks for your help!! Robyc73 —Preceding undated comment added 22:00, 2 March 2010 (UTC).

Question about edited article
Dear MuffledThud On 1 February 2010 I started my internship at the PHW Business School Bern. As an introduction I was asked to write a Wikipedia article to get to know the school. Since I used the user name "PHWBern" my account is blocked and most of the article has been deleted. I was wondering if I can post the unedited article with this username? Svdvlies— Preceding unsigned comment added by Svdvlies (talk • contribs)
- Yes please do. I'd suggest you have a read of WP:Conflict of interest and WP:SPAM first though: it's hard to write objectively about something you're directly involved with. Thanks, and happy editing. Please do post back here if I can be of any help with the article. Best regards, MuffledThud (talk) 11:27, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
JBA Consulting
Hello MuffledThud,
Can you help please? I put in an article about JBA Consulting which was deleted on lack of notability grounds. Can you send me the page so I can improve it please? Also, when I have proved notability, how do I go about having it published again?Aliceelisabethmay (talk) 12:31, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
- Hello, and welcome. The administrator who deleted the page was User:Bwilkins. I'm not an administrator, so can't delete or undelete articles myself. But I'd be glad to help you work on the article: ask an admin to restore to a subpage of your user page, then let me know when it's ready and I'll dive in and edit it with you if you like. Thanks, MuffledThud (talk) 12:52, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

Building where Copenhagen Admiral Hotel is
Hi
I can see you marked my article about the historical building where Copenhagen Admiral Hotel happens to be today.
I havnt made this as an advertisement and have really tried to tell a story about the building. A part of that history is how the building is used today.
