I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When you make a change to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Richard T. Castro. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit. It is also useful when reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. POV are also not to be on Talk pages. 4 tildes is a wasteful code. njw 20:22, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

They are allowed on talk pages, just not on the actual article. However, you are not allowed to change what other people wrote on the talk page to make it seem like they said something different. User:Zeng8r has a right to his opinion that what you said on his talk page was "rather rude". What would you change the four tildes to for signing? Eagles 24/7 (C) 20:28, 2 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Jared Polis. There is a Manual of Style that should be followed. Thank you. Please ensure that your grammatical changes do not change the meaning of the text. In this case you changed "based" to "centered". The subject refers to the Congressman, not to the district. His main office is in Boulder, therefore he is based in Boulder. Additionally, you introduced a run-on sentence with a fact that was only tangentially related to the paragraph, and improperly formatted the reference. See WP:CITE for more information on how to cite sources. Janus303 (talk) 04:04, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop deleting comments from talk pages

I've reverted you here [1], in the future, please do not remove other people's comments from talk pages. In adition, if you want to remove your own comments, it's best to "strike" them with the button above ("str" with a line through it on the toolbar). That will make your comments look like this. That way, people can still follow the discussion and comments made in response to your original post will still have context. Good luck. Dayewalker (talk) 03:56, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have never lied to you before, and do not plan on doing so. When other editors try to help you out here, it is generally suggested that you either (a) listen to their advice or (b) don't listen, but it's your own fault if you do something wrong. You seem to take the second path, except you blame us for not telling you about policies. Might I suggest that you have an open-mind when dealing with people, because not everyone has the same views as you and they are just trying to help out. Please do stop changing old content on talk pages. Talk pages are there so that editors can discuss improvements to an article, gain consensus, etc., and it's important that what has already been said is preserved so that if there is a conflict everyone can easily see the history of an article. Try to be civil with your comments. When users make uncivil remarks, they generally lose respect within the community and you are only hurting yourself.
