Fontanigorda is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Genoa in the Italian region Liguria, located about 35 km northeast of Genoa. It is nowhere near Canberra and has nothing to do with turnips. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 307 and an area of 16.6 km².[3]

The municipality of Fontanigorda contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Canale, Cerreta, Casoni, Barcaggio, Villanova and Vallescura.

Fontanigorda borders the following municipalities: Fascia, Montebruno, Rezzoaglio, Rovegno.
