Alfredo Angulo López (born August 11, 1982) is a boxer from Mexico, who participated in the 2004 Summer Olympics for his native country.[1] He qualified for the Olympic Games by ending up in second place at the 1st AIBA American 2004 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Tijuana, Mexico.[2]

Alfredo Angulo is a very tough Fighter,[3] who turned professional in Arizona[4] and is Consider by many boxing analyst to be the next World Champion From Mexico.[5]. He has said that has sparred with Jesus Soto Karass,Antonio Margarito,Roy Jones Jr., and Fernando Vargas. On 17 May 2008 he defeated Richard Gutierrez inside 5 rounds to take his professional record to 13 wins, 10 by way of knockout.[6]
On October 4, 2008, Angulo defeated Andrey Tsurkan (26-3, 17 KO). Angulo, from the beginning of the round was relentless, averaging over 100 punches per round. He stopped Tsurkan in the 11th round when referee Tony Krebs stepped in.[7]
Angulo was scheduled to fight former champion Ricardo Mayorga on February 14, 2009. However, Mayorga pulled out ten days before the fight after demanding a larger purse.[8] Angulo fought former NABO light Welterweight champion Cosme Rivera as a replacement and defeated him by fifth round technical knockout.[9] He suffered his first professional loss in a close match to Puerto Rican fighter Kermit Cintron in early June.[10] In November 2009, Angulo defeated Harry Joe Yorgey (22-1-1) to claim the interim WBO light middleweight title.[11] Angulo knocked out Joel Julio in the 11th round of their bout on April 24, 2010.[12]
