Player squad

Should the player's possible new team replace the old now, or when the source URL will be updated? kalaha 13:34, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think you should just update to the new clubs right away. I don't think DBU will update until the next time they play, in August. Poulsen 19:20, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I found this English DBU link, which only lists the latest national team, unlike the Danish link which were used before that lists 30 or so players. I have gone ahead and included the new link, but if you disagree, please say so here.

In using the English link, the list is kept fresher, and avoids having retired players like Kenneth Perez and Peter Møller (last year) appearing. On the other hand, players who would most likely feature if they were not injured, like Jesper Grønkjær and Per Nielsen, will be lost, making the list of national team players less complete, imo. Poulsen 09:38, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Originally, Grønkjær and Nielsen was on that site, but both scratched because of injuries, so they could get on this list, because they were selected for the squad. I can't see, why anybody should compain against Grønkjær and Nielsen on this list. kalaha 09:52, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
They can't be included, because we use note #14 as source. If what we write (adding Grønkjær and Nielsen) is not included in the source, then that is a problem of reliability of the article. But perhaps adding additional notes for each scratched player will do the trick - DBU usually have news items on player replacements. Poulsen 06:19, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

With continiuous updates of the Denmark national football team season 2006 article, I think it would be better to completely remove the current squad section from this here article. There's no need in having the same info twice, and in removing the squad list from this article, it would be a more stable page without a constant change of players. That way, it would be more timeless in its focus on the general phenomenon that is the Danish national football team. Poulsen 12:28, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As nobody have protested, I will go ahead and remove the section. Poulsen 10:36, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think that the recent call-up squad should only include players that were called up after Euro 2008. The other players have only been playing friendlies, and I think we really only should be displaying the players that have been used in the World Cup qualifying campaign. I noticed that kalaha changed my edit, but maybe we should reconsider this. If you agree I'll change it back again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Imanovic (talkcontribs) 20:02, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, when you are called up for a friendly match, you are still have a recently call-up. Friendly matches are just as official as qualification matches, and all the other articles include these call-ups. kalaha 08:04, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why is there no squad listed? They announced their provisional lineup, and it used to be here. It's gone now. People are interested in knowing who's playing for the team, what the hell? 216.64.147.98 (talk) 16:34, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Olympic medals

Seeing as there's already an indepth list of Olympic results, I see no reason to include:

Olympic medal record
Men's Football
Silver medal – second place 1908 London Team
Silver medal – second place 1912 Stockholm Team

Especially because the boxes overshadow text, and does not add anything new to the article. So, I have removed it from the article, please discuss before re-adding. Poulsen 19:18, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Laudrup

I dont think LAudrup participated fully in the qualification tournament to Euro 92 - as its implied

Kit

The kit should be normal red (FF0000), and with the shirt-images there specially has been maked for this article. The one there is now, is not bright enough, and the "things" in the sides is missing. kalaha 15:02, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why "should"? Why it should not be the regular red shade Denmark actually use, without that piece of fashion Adidas has stamped on all of its teams?--Kwame Nkrumah 17:47, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No, but the red shade you use, isn't either the correct. It is not bright enough. And no, Denmark actually use that piece of fashion Adidas has stamped on all of its teams. I think you should see some of the new jerseys. They got a new jersey this spring. You were also wrong about the F.C. Copenhagen kit. On their new jersey there isn't any borders! kalaha 18:05, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The pourpose of the kit images is to show the colours combinations of the kits, not to be an advertisement for adidas or whoever.--Kwame Nkrumah 22:48, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It isn't... I can't see there is neither a Adidas symbol nor logo. kalaha 10:13, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
What I am trying to say, is that this kits should show the colours of the actual jersey/shorts/socks, rather than being a replica of the actual jersey. If the shirts are red with white decorations/borders/inlets, the kits should show red jerseys with white stripes (or whatever), not the reproduction of the "stylish" design.--Kwame Nkrumah 12:56, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Why must your opinion affect exactly this article?? This must you discuss on Template talk:Football kit. kalaha 15:28, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Why should this article be styled different than the others?--Kwame Nkrumah 16:05, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It isn't! kalaha 11:47, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Any proof? Only patterns that have a traditional or contemporary meaning are present on respective articles, such as France horizontal line, Mexico horizontal line, Netherland diagonal line, US vertical line. Italy black decorations are missing, Korea blue decorations are missing, England decorations are missing, Norway decorations are missing... Should I continue?--Kwame Nkrumah 14:17, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

All-red kit?

In the current national team match versus the Czechs, Denmark are wearing an all-red kit, which I (now that I think about it) have seen a lot in national team matches - so isn't the 1st kit (home kit) all-red, and the 2nd all-white. /AB-me (chit-chat) 20:26, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, they are just wearing red shorts because Czech is wearing all-white. kalaha 07:08, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Failed GA

A well-done article, but I'm failing it outright instead of just putting it on hold because the history section, which dominates the article, is lacking in citations. It doesn't need a few; it needs quite a few and I think it would be better to work on it before this gets nominated again.

I would also consider spinning it off into a daughter article like some of the other sections, and shortening what's there now appropriately. That alone might take care of some of the citation problems. Right now you get the feeling it wants to be longer, and History of Denmark national football team would give it some room.

I also wonder, where are the pictures? What does this team look like on the field? Its fans (the roligans)? I know that getting free-use sports-related pictures is not easy, especially concerning historical subjects, but there could be at least a few.

The intro is also a bit thin, and could do with summarizing some of the material in the history section. Daniel Case 01:42, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the detailed criticism, which I can mostly agree with. But, comparing to the Featured Articles of Manchester City F.C., IFK Göteborg, Everton F.C. and Arsenal F.C., the history section is equally referenced, as I see it. I have set up a to-do list, inspired by your suggestions. Poulsen 10:33, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

1992 Champions Picture

As of being the greatest moment of this national team, i think it' would be fantastic with a picture, from either the match, the trophy, the celebration, or something alike. I have searched for images, but those I found, i think where copyrighted. Can anybody find a picture we could use? UlrikOldenburg (talk) 01:14, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

vs Malta 11 oct.: squad

Bendtner and Kroldrup out, Thomas Kristensen and Soren Larsen in--Dark Ranger (talk) 10:53, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No. Bendtner and Krøldrup is injured, but still in squad. Kristensen and Larsen is not substitutes for them and was called up yesterday, while the injuries happended today. kalaha 15:00, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Payment

around €100.000 for a match? who made these numbers? Moving to delete unless verified by another source —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sandman888 (talkcontribs) 15:57, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
