Rollback (add request)

I have reverted vandalism and patrolled RC since my last request. RussianReversal (talk) 03:05, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not done "you've been warned" is not really the kind of attitude I like to see, besides which, I see very few warnings on talk pages or AIV reports. You might like to try Twinkle for now. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 07:23, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'd like to be able to use tools such as Huggle, which require this permission, to assist in anti-vandalism activity.  -  Begoon (talk) 06:28, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The amount of my Wikitime spent combating vandalism varies, but it has often been significant, and I feel that my edit record makes clear that the increased efficiency, when I am certain about what I'm accomplishing via "undo" and popups without preview, will be to the encyclopedia's good. Wareh (talk) 18:34, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Articles like List of Total Drama series characters and Total Drama (series) get trolled a lot or filled with unconfirmed information and I feel that I am really the only person that is fighting to defend them. Obviously I have made edits outside those topics which consisted from deleted articles. Rohedin TALK 14:21, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not done This is a bit too recent for my liking. On top of that, you don't seem to have made very many reverts since the warning. If you want the tool, show us you need it! Go to Special:RecentChanges and make 50 or so vandalism reverts, either with the undo function, or the userscript, Twinkle, and be sure to give vandals at minimum 3 warnings (WP:WARN). -FASTILY (TALK) 18:28, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
So as to be able to use Huggle for reverting vandalism in recent changes. Grafen (talk) 11:09, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've recently started reverting vandalism through Recent Changes, and I want to revert faster and stop undoing edits one by one when there are multiple edits to revert. dffgd (talk) 21:18, 12 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
 Done, thanks for your work. JamieS93 21:20, 12 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
To allow me access to better counter vandalism tools /scripts Cit helper (talk) 20:47, 12 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm currently using STiki to revert vandalism, but since it is still in alpha testing, I would like to use more powerful (and accurate) tools. I understand that I'm responsible for all edits I make, and that I will only use my rights to remove blatant and/or repeated vandalism.

Another Administrator (User Talk:Courcelles suggested that I use Wikipedia:HG or Wikipedia:IGLOO when / if my request is granted. He would like me to wait until Monday (a couple days from now), but I would like to get familiar will the tools before I make any changes "live".

Thank you for taking the time to read and review my request, I kindly ask that if you make a decision that you notify me on this page as well as on my Talk Page (User Talk:Cit helper). Cit helper (talk) 20:47, 12 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am active in the new page/recent changes patrolling and would like to use additional rollback permissions for performing my daily tasks. — Zhernovoi (talk) 19:47, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not done your new page patrolling appears excellent, but rollback doesn't help you there and I don't see very much reverting in your contribs. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 19:56, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thank you for taking time to review my request! I will improve myself in the field of fighting vandalism. — Zhernovoi (talk) 19:58, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
My pet topics get trolled a lot and I'm getting sick of bugging/waiting for admins to do it. Bench press is currently languishing for example Lurkmolsner (talk) 19:21, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to be more efficient at my recent changes patrolling, and try some automated tools PvsKllKsVp (talk) 16:47, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
 Done, good work. JamieS93 16:54, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I like to fight against vandalism.I also wants to defend Wikipedia against Vandals. Max Viwe (talk) 14:50, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Question: When adding this request, you added it in the middle of the header, thus breaking some of the code. Rollback gives you access to some powerful scripts, so what makes you think you would be able to handle this permission without causing damage? HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 17:02, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Extremely sorry about that mistake.I was very eager about the request. So, I added the code incorrectly.but, I promise you that If you will grant me Rollback rights, then I will definitely use powerful scripts to help Wikipedia to prevent vandalism.Max Viwe (talk) 18:37, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Done On balance, I think you can handle it. Just be careful. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 19:32, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I want to use Igloo on the Dutch wikipedia. Edoderoo (talk) 12:53, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Then you'll likely need to request Rollback on the Dutch Wikipedia, or go talk to User talk:Ale jrb, as I don't speak a word of Dutch. For the English one,  Not done as I can't find any evidence of vandalism reverting in your contributions here. At any rate, the granting of a flag here shouldn't change anything on the Dutch Wikipedia. Courcelles (talk) 12:57, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
i have recently begun fighting vandalism via recent changes, keen to try tools that require rollback Glob.au (talk) 07:02, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Huggle says I need rollback to use it. I am interested in semi automated and automated means of mass bettering wikipedia and would like to use Huggle. I'm thinking of coding my own tool and would like to try what's out there to see what else is needed. If these tools already have what's needed, I plan to use them for repeated tedious tasks since I have no life. :(

My slate isn't particularly clean as User:TreasuryTag tried to drag me down a few times but each time failed or was quickly reverted per explanation. A failed WP:USURP left me with split name, so some of my edits were moved to User:930913.
I have a tendency of avoiding edits on the namespace, usually bringing stuff up on the talk page instead; I hope this will lower me into the waters of editing namespace en mass. Thank you, 930913(Congratulate/Complaints) 13:08, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not done I had a look through your edits, deleted and live, and found little to no vandalism reversion. Since you're into scripts, there are a few, including Twinkle, that you can use without rollback and once you have a few good reverts, warnings to vandals and a few reports to WP:AIV, come back and ask for rollback again. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 13:16, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Stupid unfounded accusations against me (there's a surprise...) – as far as I remember, the only conflict we ever had was when I nominated an article of yours for deletion and it was deleted. I'm sorry if this offended you. ╟─TreasuryTagduumvirate─╢ 16:15, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to revert multiple vandal edits at once. I believe with the rollback feature it will be faster. Thanks in advance. Elitropia (talk) 14:10, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Done Please try to always give warnings when you revert (you don't always remember!); also read When to use rollback and When not to use rollback - only use it for clear vandalism (if in doubt, use undo instead) -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 14:55, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I work extensively on American soccer articles, and would find the rollback function very useful when having to make changes to undo persistent vandalism on the several hundred articles I watch JonBroxton (talk) 06:46, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
