This is a notice to let you know about Article alerts, a fully-automated subscription-based news delivery system designed to notify WikiProjects and Taskforces when articles are entering Articles for deletion, Requests for comment, Peer review and other workflows (full list). The reports are updated on a daily basis, and provide brief summaries of what happened, with relevant links to discussion or results when possible. A certain degree of customization is available; WikiProjects and Taskforces can choose which workflows to include, have individual reports generated for each workflow, have deletion discussion transcluded on the reports, and so on. An example of a customized report can be found here.

If you are already subscribed to Article Alerts, it is now easier to report bugs and request new features. We are also in the process of implementing a "news system", which would let projects know about ongoing discussions on a wikipedia-wide level, and other things of interest. The developers also note that some subscribing WikiProjects and Taskforces use the display=none parameter, but forget to give a link to their alert page. Your alert page should be located at "Wikipedia:PROJECT-OR-TASKFORCE-HOMEPAGE/Article alerts". Questions and feedback should be left at Wikipedia talk:Article alerts.

sexism at New York Times and the WP article

We're discussing whether a history of sex discrimination at the N.Y. Times respecting reporters and editors is notable enough for the article on The New York Times. I put it in, someone took it out by reverting, and now we're debating restoration. Please feel free to weigh in. Thank you. Nick Levinson (talk) 00:26, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Thank you. Nick Levinson (talk) 17:58, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Need expertise for the Janice Raymond article

The article is seriously incomplete, and it is hard to find descriptions of her anti-trans politics which meet the standards of BLP and RS. Marja Erwin (talk) 04:48, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Biased editing at Janice Raymond

There appears to be a problem of biased editing at this article. I think the way it is written now is not in accord with NPOV or BLP. There is a biased sentence in the lead: "She has also written extensively about transsexualism, and her views on transgender have met with great controversy, as they are viewed by many as transphobic." That's biased because it presents only criticism of Raymond and does not indicate that many feminists AGREE with her views on trans issues.
