re admin recall

By all means. What is the process, I don't know how it works. Herostratus (talk) 04:10, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you feel inclined you can go to wiki meta stewards and ask for removal of your Admin status and if you want to you can then re-apply for Wikipedia:RFA to see if you have community support or you can also just comment that you are prepared to accept these sample process conditions and see if any other users feel the same. Thanks.Off2riorob (talk) 07:06, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, actually, I don't fell inclined to resign my admin status just on your personal request, thank you very much. It seems there are various procedures available. this seems to be a common one, but the sample looks a lot simpler. Yes let's use that. I'll set up a section on my talk page. Naturally you yourself can always go to ArbCom, User Conduct RfC, etc at any time. Herostratus (talk) 07:46, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Rob would you mind running down a few diffs of his violations? Hell In A Bucket (talk) 07:55, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cant talk I am on a phone, recent BLP violations were so bad they have been deleted, there is a thread at BLPN, user still does not seem to get it. There was a recent so called joke that went wrong and he was blocked and unblocked him self, diffs are at BLPN and I had a good look through his edit history last night and found nothing that returned my trust. The BLP violations would have got me or you blocked, have a look at it and make your own decision, I have made mine. Off2riorob (talk) 11:41, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I wsa going to I just didn't see the specifics wanted to get pointed in the right direction. Neways Cheers Rob. Hell In A Bucket (talk) 17:02, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yellow cards

Do you know what the yellow card accumulation rules are for the Word Cup this year? -Rrius (talk) 19:56, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rrius, as I understand it if you get a yellow card in the group game and one in the next game you miss the following game. I don't know though if there is any continuation fron the group games forward. I will have a little investigation to see what the citations say. Off2riorob (talk) 20:00, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Carry on the cautions (Yellow card) The exact punishments are determined by tournament or competition rules (not by the Laws of the Game). The cautions are accumulate for a certain phase of a the world cup tournament. Rules:

  • A yellow card is carry over, and 2 yellow cards equal a red and a 1 game suspension.
  • A yellow card is carry on during the first and second phase of the tournament.
  • For the quaterfinals is a clean start for all the players, except for a red card.
  • Begining the quaterfinals the yellow cards are carry on, until the end of the tournament. And at the end of the tournament all the yellows cards are reset, except:

If a player gets his second yellow card, in the final game, he will carry over the punishment to the next international game of his team, when he plays.

This appears to be qite well informed. Off2riorob (talk) 20:10, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I think I get it now. Some of the stuff I found online was vague and contradictory. -Rrius (talk) 21:12, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Kenneth Dickson

You had previously participated in a deletion discussion for this subject, at its first AfD, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kenneth Dickson. It has been nominated for deletion, again. The discussion is taking place, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kenneth Dickson (2nd nomination). Thank you for your time, -- Cirt (talk) 21:03, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Off2riorob. I just wanted to let you know I have retracted three comments I made about you on this talk page. I was revisiting the page today out of interest, after I came across a couple of similar BLP issues in other articles. When reviewing the discussion after almost three months of clear air, I was not happy with the comments I made. So I apologise for them and have retracted them. I'm sorry for (a) making the comments; and (b) not having retracted them earlier. --Mkativerata (talk) 21:32, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks indeed. The issue was heated and things were said but I think we generally dealt with it quite well. I look forward to working together with you to improve the project in the future. Off2riorob (talk) 21:37, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your kind response. I recall there have been a few times where we've crossed paths in better circumstances since then and I certainly look forward to working together in the future. --Mkativerata (talk) 21:40, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your archiving mess

I cleaned it up for you! How did you manage that? HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 13:25, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am unsure, I think it was when I created the archive I need to be a little more careful and watch for the spacings, I want to leave a space and the templates don't want one or the correct format is without a space as in...Talk:The_Gore_Effect/Archive_2 is the correct way and I am sometimes adding a space and that means one archive doesn't lead to the other because it seems to be needed the exact same format. Off2riorob (talk) 13:28, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Can I mail you a seperate issues for an opinion from you? Off2riorob (talk) 13:29, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

David Ruffley‎

Could you take a look at David Ruffley‎ to see whether I'm off-base there? Thanks. --Ibn (talk) 19:35, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I totally agree with you, unless the reporting grows or additional details are revealed that should be kept out. I have added it to my watchlist, perhaps request the pending changes to allow some protection as it is being added by unconfirmed accounts.Off2riorob (talk) 19:40, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Heres the sun report the we won't be adding http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3020587/Tory-MP-David-Ruffley-throws-himself-under-train.html Off2riorob (talk) 19:46, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'll be monitoring news reports. Thanks for your help. --Ibn (talk) 19:49, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
