The 75ème Rallye Automobile de Monte-Carlo (75th Monte-Carlo Rally), the first round of the 2007 World Rally Championship season, took place between January 19 and 21, 2007.
Pre-event
The rally returned to the Vercors and Ardèche regions of France for the first time since 1997, & for the first time in the rally's history. The Col de Turini will not be used in this year of the Monte Carlo Rally. Due to the popularity of the rally concerns arose about spectator safety, after the shakedown stage was cancelled due to spectator crowding. The rally has some returns and new faces, namely the return of Citroën with C4 WRC with drivers Sébastien Loeb and Dani Sordo. BP Ford returned to defend their manufacturers' title in 2006 with the same team of Marcus Grönholm and Mikko Hirvonen. The Subaru World Rally Team also returned with the same 2006 team of Petter Solberg and Chris Atkinson. In addition to the BP Ford Team, Stobart VK M-Sport Ford return with previous drivers Matthew Wilson and Jari-Matti Latvala as well as Henning Solberg that joins from OMV Peugeot. Another Ford team has been entered under the team name of Munchi's Ford World Rally Team with drivers Luis Perez Companc and fellow Argentine Juan Pablo Raies, they will contest 10 rallies in 2007.
