Issiar Dia (born 8 June 1987 in Sèvres) is a French-born Senegalese footballer and currently plays for Spor Toto Süper Lig club Fenerbahçe.[1]

Career

Amiens SC

Stade Marcel Picot in the 2006 summer transfer window for €2 million under he management of Pablo Correa, signing from Ligue 2 sidee Amiens SC. forward player can play on either flank as well as up front.

AS Nancy

Dia started his professional career at Amiens SC and joined €2 million AS Nancy in the summer of 2006. He quickly developed into an important first team player at AS Nancy and has made well over 100 official appearances for the French outfit. He played regularly for AS Nancy, but scored only six goals for them in his first three seasons. However the 2009-10 season was the start of a new beginning for him as he netted eight times in 33 outings.

Fenerbahçe

On 21 July 2010, Fenerbahçe announced that Dia had joined the team on a four-year contract for a sum of €6.0 million.[1][2] The Istanbul side will present the Senegalese international to the press later this week.

International career

He is often deployed on the right side of the attack and quickly earned a call up to the France U-21 squad, the country of his birth. Despite this, after his 21st birthday, Dia chose to pledge his future to the Senegalese. He was selected for the squad the first time possible, against Gambia, and came on as a substitute in the 61st minute for Frederic Mendy.
