Welcome!

[edit]

Hello Brian Westley, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Solar

You keep reverting the article. I'd just like to point out that the wording is sourced (whetehr you like it or not). Please take your issue to the talk page and stop reverting sourced text that you don't like. --evrik (talk) 19:57, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Brian Westley for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. --evrik (talk) 22:23, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Final Warning before Block

[edit]

A more experienced user would have been blocked for your recent edit warring, violation of the three revert war and use of an an ip as a sockpuppet. I do not believe that you have been adequately warned of the consequences of your actions and as you made no effort to hide the fact that the ip was you I don't think you intended to use the ip deceptively. You are therefore requested to read the 3 policies I have linked to in this section and to ensure that you comply with them in future as a block will follow if you do not. If you require any further advice or explanation please leave me a note on my talk page. Spartaz Humbug! 22:43, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not interested in the content dispute - that's for you and other interested parties to deal with. JUsrt end the disruption. OK? If you need outside advice ask for a third opinion. Spartaz Humbug! 23:23, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Your behaviour is disruption not vandalism. The term vandalism gets thrown around too easily. Spartaz Humbug! 23:35, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If you count the reverts you will see that you are well ahead. The 3RR is an absolute limit and you broke it. Ergo you are being disruptive. Spartaz Humbug! 06:42, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Firesign Theatre.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Firesign Theatre.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 21:17, 17 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
