Thanks

thanks for looking again at GOGBOT, I appreciate it. There is only one more note: "This article is written like an advertisement." I would like to learn from you, what can I do to make the article not look like an advertisement anymore? I'm really learning here, it's fun and interesting, wikipedia :)--Sandwoman19 (talk) 13:28, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This article does not contain any copy written information as I wrote the article on the other site as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sempire (talkcontribs) 21:56, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Since the original page is also under license that allows free distribution (GFDL), I have restored the page. Kimchi.sg (talk) 04:24, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

I have a few questions regarding any posts that you created/deleted about Office Tiger and/or Randy Altschuler.

Please call me at 516-880-8170 to discuss.

Thank you,

Allison —Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.206.159.115 (talk) 15:44, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know which country you're in so I will not make any calls. Please email me or leave me a message on this page instead. Kimchi.sg (talk) 15:57, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

i hope that you gave others to write their articles., I tried my hands to do their best to type very fast, and besides if other people will discover such band they will search it in wikipedia, then they will find their history. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TSUBASATSUBAKI (talkcontribs) 10:17, 11 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rock for Kids page

hey kimchi,

i was the author of the Rock for Kids page that was deleted last week. i was hoping to bring the page back up and add other important acts that would allow it to be a valid page. i had made it in the first place based off the same format as little kids rock thinking that since that was okayed that rock for kids would be as well. if you have any tips as to what i should touch on to avoid deletion i'm more than happy to work with them, if not, i think i have the material needed to make it a valuable page.

thanks, justin 20:19, 11 August 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jnslehmann (talkcontribs)

My tips: Use newspaper or magazine articles to illustrate how this organisation is notable. More details here. Cut the Youtube, Facebook, Myspace crap at the end of the page. Kimchi.sg (talk) 02:17, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

thanks for the advice. i added 4 articles and a video of coverage of rock for kids events as well as information about the andrew bird scholarship fund and metro bootleg CD, both of which are exclusive to rock for kids. hope this suffices. thanks -justin Jnslehmann (talk) 16:44, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Altered speedy deletion rationale: Hospital One (response)

Thanks... though I think your change lasted about a second... whoever's patrolling the Speedy's is on the ball tonight... As their delete seems to have been based on the two dupes that were previously deleted, I would be interested in knowing which criteria you thought was more appropriate so I can learn for next time. I had added (which you may have missed as all of this seems to have taken under 2 minutes) db-spam and one other to the page (tags though, instead of as deletion criteria)

Thanks, RobertMfromLI | User Talk 05:14, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the explanation. I wasn't quite sure about that, hence I tagged it with db-spam right afterwards. Which brings me to one more question, if you dont mind taking the time to answer it. Would it have been appropriate for me to delete my CSD G4 and replace it with the proper speedy request? As I am not sure how the tools work or would affect you all on your end, I feared it may create another request, while leaving the first, and also flagging me for deleting a speedy tag.
Thanks again,
Rob RobertMfromLI | User Talk 05:33, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your admin action reverted

According to the revision history, you declined the speedy deletion of The Last Airbender (book). However, User:ChaosMaster16 undid your revision. Just letting you know. —CodeHydro 18:10, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I created this article as I work in the industry in Australia and this company has become a major player in the last two years so I was wanting to add it to the article recruitment agencies but had to create this article first so I feel it would be relevant and is a notible business that is taking over allot of the market in Sydney.

This is my first article so please let me know if there is anything else maybe wrong with the layout.

If you could please include this now based on the notibility identified it would be much appreciated.

Have a lovely day.

Warm Regards,

David —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.167.252.75 (talk) 01:23, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How much of a "major player" are they, according to newspaper and magazine reports? Kimchi.sg (talk) 09:08, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Kitco Metals, Inc.

How has a culture developed of deleting articles without discussion? I put a talk page on. I gave my reasons for including the article. rather than discussing, you deleted. This I must protest. Please restore the deletion you made of kitco metals inc. I was writing the article. I included the reasons for notability: it is the 12th most popular investing website in america. The website has received awards. It is a a large company, like Motley Fool. " Its website has a 'best of web award' and is cited by other news organization as a news source [1] Before nominating a page for speedy deletion, consider whether it could be improved, reduced to a stub, merged or redirected elsewhere, reverted to a better previous revision, or handled in some other way. Users nominating a page for speedy deletion should specify which criteria the page meets, and should consider notifying the page creator and any major contributors." Plus importance or significance is "a lower standard than notability". Certainly being the 12th most popular investing website in america makes it notable and if its notable its important, yes? [2] and it has a higher worldwide traffic ranking than Motley Fool. Yes, this was all documented and footnoted. My intent in developing this article is investment research. Mrdthree (talk) 22:01, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I may be a fool to have wrongly deleted the article, but the wording of your demand does not prompt me to reconsider. Kimchi.sg (talk) 06:30, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe before you put the page up again, you might want to invest some time into learning what the proper name of the company is. (extra unnecessary remark retracted) Kimchi.sg (talk) 07:53, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I just bought some gold. I made the check out to Kitco Metals, Inc. Mrdthree (talk) 08:46, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, their "About us" page is titled "Kitco Inc. - About us" and for Wikipedia, it's "Kitco" (after necessary shortening). Kimchi.sg (talk) 08:51, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for the huff, I have had the start deleted three times now. Thanks for restoring. Mrdthree (talk) 08:55, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the message, and I'm usually very receptive to alerts like this, but, if you don't mind, could you let me know why my tag "doesn't fit the page in question"? Thanks, SwarmTalk 11:30, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the original page didn't fit CSD A2 criteria. There was no indication of which page on Rissian Wikipedia it duplicated. A lot of people tag improperly under CSD A2, pages that are merely in a foreign language, when they should be listed at WP:PNT instead. I deleted it on 2nd look, based on your machine translation which suggests the band this artiste is member of has only one album to their name. (Double checked using Google for "Elle Pikul" and "Fire Piranhas".) Kimchi.sg (talk) 15:26, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

DVDVideoSoft

Dear Kimchi.sg

Could you please be so kind to point me to the places where the article didn't meet your criteria? I have previously talked to Malik Shabazz regarding this matter and he pointed me out some useful information, which i have collected and added to the article. However, trying to find an article,Malik Shabazz couldn't do it as it has been deleted by you 10 minutes after posting. All references have been absolutely neglected, though all of them are independent and read the alexa's top 1000 World Rank. I know your rules by heart and am sure that the article has enough information and references to be approved.

Examples of similar articles of our friends which are available on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AVS_Video_Converter, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SlySoft Note that AVS Video Converter doesn't even have any references so i doubt that it is objective enough.

I would really like to get any comments on this matter.

One Essex Court

Why was this page deleted?

One Essex Court is a leading barristers' chambers in London, which is in the news very regularly. Two of its members have pages on wikipedia.

I adopted the template for this page from Brick Court Chambers, a page which has not been deleted.

What else can I add/change for this page to fit wikipedia?

Freshfields24 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 18:33, 30 August 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Could you please undelete this article? We have received OTRS permission for it which I can add as soon as it is restored. VernoWhitney (talk) 19:56, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, can you please undelete this page? Template:Deprecated has been restored. Thanks in advance. PC78 (talk) 22:38, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Good Intentions

My intentions for creating a Wikipedia page about myself is not to sell my music. It is simply to display information about myself for an emerging fan base. I will be more than happy to edit the page to fit in with Wikipedia's policies, but I would greatly appreciate help in this matter nonetheless.

Thank you for your time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Trailer10 (talkcontribs) 02:07, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fans?

This page is not meant for self perpulsion. I want to provide information about myself and what I do. I'm not looking to gain from having a Wikipedia page, I simply want to have the source available. Not for gain. For the sake of information. I'll delete the website or anything else that may offend the rules and regulations, but to completely deny my request for a Wikipedia page as a means for obtaining information, which is what I thought the point of this was, is wrong and unfair. I regret not fully reading the guidelines before posting, but now that I have, I see no reason why I should not have a Wikipedia page. Many artists, people, friends, and businesses have one, why can't I? Thank you for your time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Trailer10 (talkcontribs) 02:17, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A little hasty?

sad face: You deleted Flycom very quickly; I was attempting to work with the editor to try to improve the article... unfortunately the suggestions I had I placed on the article talk page, which was also deleted.   Thorncrag  03:39, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, sorry about that. I didn't realize that you had userfied it  :-)   Thorncrag  04:10, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I wouldn't have, if not for your message. ;-) Kimchi.sg (talk) 04:11, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

All Me (song)

Do you have any problem with my restoring All Me (song)? We both hit it at about the same time - my declining it, and your deleting it. My decline hit the history literally seconds before you deleted it, so I have a feeling you never saw my decline. So do you have any objections to my restoring? SchuminWeb (Talk) 04:15, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Kimchi.sg (talk) 04:21, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome, and done. SchuminWeb (Talk) 04:36, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

SolutionInn.com

Sir would you please tell me why my posting has been deleted? that was really not an advertisement. that was information for the help and benefits of online students. Being a teacher i should inform my students from where they can get best information and i think Wikipedia is the best source to tell them all. please republish my posting. its a humble request. --Billal mirza (talk) 07:54, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting a page I created

I kindly ask you, why are you deleting my article? It is not still fully created & will complete at the end of this month and please notice that it is not Vandalism or advertising promotion, thank you! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Geethos (talkcontribs) 08:37, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It does not appear this artiste is notable. Kimchi.sg (talk) 08:39, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Possible hoax related to Safety Sammy speedy delete

Howdy. I was the one that tagged the Safety Sammy article as a hoax and noted you deleted it. I stumbled across a couple of related articles that may or may not be hoaxes/spam (and if they're are, they're extensive). Specifically, Hero: 108 makes all sorts of claims on being on the Cartoon Network, yet a search of that site doesn't show any mention. Hero: 108 (film) claims that Chow Yun Fat and Jackie Chan are in that movie but I'm having problems verifying that using IMDB. My instincts tell me these are probably real, but I'm just not familiar enough with this area. There is an IMDB entry for Hero: 108 but leads from that are pretty slim. My bet is that this is an attempt by the principles to drum up publicity for a minor media player. Anyway, nothing I'm that perturbed about, but thought I'd bring it to your attention. --Quartermaster (talk) 16:55, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hero 108 is undoubtedly on Cartoon Network per [3] (Cartoon Network UK, so I assume it's showing at least there). The film adaptation is indeed a hoax and on top of that, it was re-created right after an AfD. I've deleted it. Thanks for the heads-up. Kimchi.sg (talk) 02:37, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
