I reverted the statement that "Putt-Putt may have partially inspired Pixar's Cars." If there was basis behind it, it needs references. Hampshire2004 01:49, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I Disagree with the above. The putt-putt series was released far before (2001ish) the Cars Pixar Movies. Needs references.

What about Putt-Putt Goes to the Moon? I didn't see it anywhere in the article. Worms42 (talk) 01:53, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Redirection

This page redirects to Putt-Putt saves the Zoo. I disagree, mostly because the page "Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo" contains no description of the Putt-Putt character (doesn't even say he's a car). Additionally, pages need to be created for Putt-Putt goes to the moon and Putt-Putt joins the Parade, the earliest games in the series. 69.178.122.114 (talk) 04:19, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've fixed the redirection. If you have information on "Putt-Putt goes to the moon" and "Putt-Putt joins the parade," Wikipedia would benefit from your contributions, so you are welcome to consider creating these pages.

The character does not have enough information to hold a page, so it serves better as a redirect. The only valid source is already covered within the creator's article (though the reference needs to be added). TTN (talk) 22:00, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly, this article needs to be here because there is information noted here which is relevant to the game character Putt-Putt specifically. The article on Shelley Day, the creator of Putt-Putt, may include the same information because it is also relevant there.
Secondly, why redirect this article to the Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo article? There are two other Putt-Putt games which exist. This page serves to provide background information on Putt-Putt and as a hub to the three games that there are articles on. If nothing else, there needs to be a disambiguation page for Putt-Putt.
Finally, the content is notable. There is nowhere else to note that there were indeed other games in the Putt-Putt series that there aren't articles on, yet an extensive web search (or examination of MobyGames, which was referenced) reveals that they exist.
By redirecting this article, you are deleting content which has reason to be in this article (which has reason to exist). I don't really see that there is any other logical place to redirect this article to. Hampshire2004 (talk) 04:54, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
