Hello! On Wikipedia, I spend a lot of time patrolling recent changes and new pages. If, while doing so, you believe I have made a mistake, please note:
  • I am only human, I sometimes make mistakes. Edits I revert, I generally revert as they appear to be vandalism of some sort. If you believe I have made a mistake, just undo my edit, and leave me a message pointing it out to me here. I would prefer that you don't leave me a template message, if I've made a bad edit, chances are it was a mistake. And, if I have reverted your edit, whether vandalism or a mistake, please don't abuse me with vandalism here. It will be quickly reverted.
  • I am not here everyday. If you leave me a message and I don't respond immediately, don't panic! I will get back to you the next time I am online and see your message.

Also, I am not a Wikipedia administrator (also known as system operator) which means that I do not and cannot delete articles and such. As such, I can only nominate articles for deletion, either by speedy deletion, through a deletion discussion, or by a proposed deletion. If your article is deleted by an administrator by one of the three above processes, you may raise a deletion review to appeal to restore your deleted article, or directly ask the administrator involved in the deletion to userfy your article. Thanks.

speedy tag

Hi, E Wing. I'd like to ask you to make yourself a bit more familiar with the speedy deletion criteria, and to ask or research when unsure, as using the wrong tag can be a little harsh on the newbies. In this case, the article was not a test page as you tagged it; a better speedy criterion would have been A7. Cheers, Waldir talk 22:55, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Carrigan middle school

Hello E Wing. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Carrigan middle school, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: A7 does not apply to schools. Thank you. -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 23:21, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It was me, actually, see the section above. Sorry for the confusion. (And oh, the irony. Reminds me of Muphry's law :)) --Waldir talk 06:45, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Looking at the history of the article (now deleted anyway!) I see that the CSD Helper was confused! Sorry, E Wing - although Waldir's message in the previous section is worth taking to heart! -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 06:56, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion converted to PROD: Turnip Time Entertainment

Hello E Wing. I am just letting you know that I have converted the speedy deletion tag that you placed on Turnip Time Entertainment to a proposed deletion tag, because I do not believe CSD applies to the page in question. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 03:18, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Jr writer.

Hello E Wing, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Jr writer., a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Theleftorium (talk) 21:30, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

VQWiki

VQWiki is not a web content, it is a software. Don't you understand that? it is easy to find out. It is a wiki software, but it is not in the list, I was hoping someone can put it into the table. I was always wondering if the page will hurt you if you keep the page there, or when you delete a page, you fell you are high? I mean I just don't understand the reason why you delete it. or you just didn't state it clearly. Jackzhp (talk) 19:52, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please read the 2nd paragraph on the 3rd box on the top of this page. Thanks.E Wing (talk) 04:10, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
All the shit is really complicated. May I suggest you not to put your effort on deletion, especially not on the "speedy deletion", instead, would you please put your effort on improving the article you want to delete. The little article may be too short and it may be not good enough and need improvement, but your initiation on deletion really waste a lot of energy of people like me. Wiki facilitate collaboration, but your initiation on deletion is some kind of anti-collaboration.
By the way, I don't need that article, but just for many other's information. The first time, when I was looking for wiki software, I didn't know there is something called VQWiki, and I finally sticked to JAMWiki, and then later I found out that VQWiki is the parent of JAMWiki. But the VQWiki is not mentioned in the list of wiki software, so I put a little page there, and I hope someone can put it into the list, and other people can find the information in the future. If you like, you may put it here in this list, with just a short description. E Wing (talk) 06:39, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Deon St. Mor

Hi there,

I am lost and need your help. I and another university friend have been creating company pages on Wiki (we only learnt how to use it this year). Can you please help me source the article correctly? we have used magazines/newspapers and cited them. What else can I do to save this page? We want people to learn what we have at uni but please help us fix it before the page goes for deletion.

can you delete the warnings and together we can fix it from there?

I read your instructions, do we place undo on there or here? undo —Preceding unsigned comment added by SENCHA90 (talkcontribs) 07:43, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please help ASAP as I dont know what to do from here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SENCHA90 (talkcontribs) 07:39, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently, your articles are not up for deletion, those tags are just set-up as reminders to improve the article.

For references, it is best not to use the person's or the company's website, since it may become a conflict of interest.

As for the warnings, you may blank them all but your most recent warning level will be retained (a page's history can only be deleted once the page itself is deleted) until one month has passed. E Wing (talk) 07:54, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much, I will delete the links to the website now. The latest warning is bad, I am terrified it will be deleted as of course I want good marks. I will go in and revise. should I message the person who put up the latest warning? I have now gone and deleted the page info and I made links the the company page tooSENCHA90 (talk) 08:05, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
