talkSPORT is a national commercial sports radio station based in London broadcasting to the United Kingdom. It has been known by its current name since January 2000, but was previously known as Talk Radio and before that Talk Radio UK from its launch in 14 February 1995. It broadcasts as an AM station on the 1053 kHz and 1089 kHz frequencies, also digitally via DAB (Great Britain only) and various Digital TV platforms.
talkSPORT has a generally Right-wing political stance. The station currently has no female presenters, and consequently has a predominantly male listenership.

Main owners CLT sold to the Mirror Group in November 1998. Programme Controller John Simons was escorted from the building by security upon the takeover.
