Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Brkenmirrr RECORDS has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://www.myspace.com/brkenmirrrrecords (matching the regex rule \bmyspace\.com).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Responses

Ok we are jumping around way, way too much. For any of these created articles I've tagged, please respond here.
Well if they were important/notable enough they would be covered in several reliable places. Wikipedia is not a place for every band or everything in existence. That's why there are notability guidelines like WP:BAND that every article must meet, or be subject to deletion. CTJF83 chat 05:32, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My concern is that Wikipedia is and can be used for a resource. If a band doesn't have as many articles/pages across the internet about them, they they receive less promotion. Believe it or not, a Wiki whether used for promotion or for straight facts, IS in itself a form of promotion. It describes the band/business, etc... Sometimes bands do not display their own biographies or histories enough or correctly in order to gain more notoriety. These bands are notable, and the label they're on is as well, it just needs time to flower, it's already sprouted. All they need is water, and with all this deletion going on it's like someone is kinking the hose.Ctk986 (talk) 05:39, 23 October 2010 (UTC)Ctk986[reply]

I'm really not trying to be an asshole here with all these deletion tagging. I'm trying to keep Wikipedia a quality website, and not advertising for every myspace band in existence. You're right, Wikipedia can be used for a resource, but it's not a promotion site. If you want, I can move these pages to a sub page for you and you can work on them, and try to get them to pass WP:BAND and WP:GNG so they can be sustained as articles...other than that, I'm just starting to repeat myself. For helpfullness, you just need to type ~~~~, you don't need to type Ctk986, as that will come up, you can also customize your signature if you like. CTJF83 chat 05:44, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is there anyway you can just leave them as "stubs" or something, or just let them go? this is really going to be a pain to have to retype everything. I know you're just doing your job, but there are quite a bit of linking and external references that will be happening in the near future, I guarantee it. It's not like these bands are just "MySpace Bands" They are specific to the record label (Ling Chi Records). And actually, I'm not going to be making pages for the former bands, simply because they will either get made by someone else eventually or not, because they're no longer together. But also, it makes absolutely no sense to delete the Ling Chi Records page because that's the keystone to all this. Actually, since the bands are all signed to the label, would I be able to reference their MySpaces or facebooks as references on the Ling Chi Records page? they are technically independent of the label. as well as the label website http://lingchi.tk and Myspace/facebook being independent of each of the bands. Ctk986 (talk) 05:51, 23 October 2010 (UTC)Ctk986[reply]

Am I correct in guessing you have some sort of relation to the label? A subpage would keep them exactly how they are now, just under your user name, and they won't be deleted at all there. So you would be able to work on them to your hearts content. Referencing myspace or facebook, are not considered reliable sources and they fall under WP:SPS which, while not prohibited, are frowned upon. Do you want me to put these in your subpage, and then you won't risk any deletion, or anyone (most likely) won't even mess with them. CTJF83 chat 05:55, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and the record label has 26 Google results 95% of which are the label's site or social network sites, which shows zero notability. CTJF83 chat 05:58, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

isn't that what ANY band gets when you search them? MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, website... If you search Aerosmith on Google you get the band's website, wiki, myspace, last FM, twitter, myspace... nothing notable by those standards. the label's website alone has had over 7,000 unique IP hits in the month of October alone.Ctk986 (talk) 06:03, 23 October 2010 (UTC)Ctk986[reply]

Do you really think that is a fair comparison? With Aerosmith you also get MTV.com, VH1.com, The Guardian, a national British newspaper, Rolling Stone, Disney, plus PLENTY of news coverage and books...none of which any of the band pages you created gets. CTJF83 chat 06:08, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Aerosmith has also been around for decades. These bands are new, just not as lucky as some of the new bands on labels that have been around for almost 2 decades like Trustkill Records (1993) or Metal Blade (who've been putting out records before I was born). You don't think that the people who do the news articles and tv shows don't look on the internet for RELIABLE sources, like Wiki?

Again, we are kinda just going in circles....once "your bands" have Aerosmith coverage (and not even that much, just a few reliable sites), then they will pass WP:BAND and be great for an article. CTJF83 chat 06:12, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know much about bands, but I wish I knew off the top of my head a band formed in 2008 that would show what kind of coverage is needed....perhaps you do? CTJF83 chat 06:18, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fine Delete what you must, but can we at least make a deal about this? I won't make anymore band Wiki's unless I have multiple sources/coverage. Can you at least leave the Ling Chi Records page so that if anyone ELSE creates the pages for any bands in the mean time, they can properly link it and see any other bands on the label that need pages? As a matter of fact, the label used to be known by another name, and the extensive interview and coverage for that has been taken down since it's been a while and the magazine(s) didn't think about them being a source. I honestly just need the label page to remain so if pages get created, they can be linked. I think that's more my concern. And you DID say that myspaces and facebooks are acceptable even if frowned upon, so I could use them on the label page, as band myspaces referring the links. bands HAVE written blogs about their signings and updates that could be written about. Ctk986 (talk) 06:21, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Take a look at the short paragraph at WP:SPS to see exactly about social networks, I will WP:AGF, since you've been very respectful ( which I greatly appreciate) this whole time, and remove my tag from the label, which there is nothing saying someone won't retag it tomorrow or the next day for deletion, and move the others to User:Ctk986/Oh No! The Afterlife. Dinotrax though, is already up at WP:AFD, so i'm kinda tied to leave that how it is until the community consensus comes up in 7 days....who know, maybe I'll be wrong, and the page will be kept. If you have any questions for any Wiki related issue, please don't hesitate to ask. CTJF83 chat 06:29, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I actually don't like the way the sub page looks, and I'm not sure how it would be retitled once its WP correct. Can you just delete it for now? I will recreate it when I have proper resources... also, is there no tag to leave your mark for other admins that says "this page has been okayed for now"...? I went through and saved the html/coding for the band pages for later editing offline. Thank you for atleast leaving the Ling Chi Records page. I will revamp it overnight. I am in the process of talking with you and releasing a band's remastered demo on the website all at once.Ctk986 (talk) 06:34, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well I'm actually not an admin, otherwise the pages would have be deleted, instead of just tagged to be deleted. Like I was saying, just because I removed the tag, there is zero stopping another user from tagging it for deletion tomorrow or the next day, if they feel it needs to be deleted. I can relist the one I moved to your subpage for deletion, but you might as well keep it, so you don't have to start from scratch. Once it is ready, ask me to move it, or you can up at the top, just hit move, and type just the band name. Oh, and just so you know, don't upload photos from facebook or myspace, even if you have permission (unless you follow the steps at WP:PERMISSION) or they will be deleted, and you could be blocked (not by me) for copyright violations. CTJF83 chat 06:40, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I rather it say the marked for deletion and take my chances... I have it saved down to the character offline as a txt file. I just don't want the Ctk986 showing on the page. rather than the deletion tag, can we just put that http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Orphan tag? that way people could help build it rather than delete it? I just know I don't want my user name as part of the title.Ctk986 (talk) 06:45, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How about my user name then? You can still edit it all you want. So honestly the options are your or my user name, or deleted, which do you want, I'll take care of either. CTJF83 chat 06:47, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted. It's not fair to the band to be seen less properly displayed than the others. I can recreate the page when I have better sources.Ctk986 (talk) 06:48, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I'll take care of it CTJF83 chat 06:50, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
For helpfulness, once you are done typing, don't hit save right away, just type ~~~~, that way you don't have to save it, edit it, type ~~~~, and save it again, just saves a few seconds. CTJF83 chat 06:54, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 08:06, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ling Chi Records requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 08:07, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please remove that tag? I've added many reference links since the last person who tagged my pages for deletion.Ctk986 (talk) 08:09, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Ling Chi Records for deletion
