Amber Sherlock presents the morning edition of the Qantas Inflight News, broadcast on the Nine Network as the Nine's Early Morning News and is the news presenter on Weekend Today and is Monday news presenter on Today. Higlett is also a fill in presenter for Wendy Kingston on Nine's Morning News Hour and Nine's Afternoon News.
Sherlock joined the Nine Network in 2007 to present the business segments for the Today, Nine's Morning News Hour and Nine's Afternoon News.
In January 2009, it was announced that Sherlock will be the news presenter for Weekend Today, alongside co-hosts Cameron Williams and Leila McKinnon. In July 2009, Sherlock was appointed newsreader for Today on Monday's, as Georgie Gardner presents Nine News Sydney on Friday and Saturday.
Before joining the Nine Network, Sherlock worked as a newsreader and business presenter for Sky News Australia.
Prior to that, she hosted a news and current affairs programme, State Focus, for Southern Cross Ten in Canberra for two years. She also presented snow reports for Network Ten news in the eastern states.
Sherlock has honed her business skills working as a finance journalist for ABN AMRO Mellon in London and Commsec in Sydney. She has also worked as a reporter for the Seven Network and Network Ten in Sydney.
Sherlock completed a Bachelor of Arts (Communications) from the University of Technology, Sydney in 1995 and is in the process of completing a Masters in Journalism.
In March 2010, Sherlock announced on Weekend Today that she and her husband Chris were expecting their first baby.
Sherlock gave birth to her daughter Piper Summer Sherlock on 9 June 2010.
