The Real World: Las Vegas is the upcoming twenty-fifth season of MTV's reality television series The Real World, which focuses on a group of diverse strangers living together for several months in a different city each season, as cameras document their lives and interpersonal relationships. Las Vegas was first reported as the location for the twenty-fifth season by the website Vevmo on September 8, 2010.[1] The season will premiere on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.[1][2]

This will be the second season of the program located in Las Vegas, after the twelfth season, which aired in 2002. It also marks the fourth city to be re-used as a season's location, following New York City in the tenth and twenty-first seasons, Los Angeles in the twentieth season and New Orleans in the twenty-fourth season (though in the case of Los Angeles, the setting's specific focus was Hollywood, and for season 21 the main focus was Brooklyn.). Pre-production began in August 2010.[1]

Director of the Nevada Film Office Charlie Geocaris commented, "The Nevada Film Office is very excited to have MTV’s The Real World return to Las Vegas. The first time here proved to be excellent exposure for the city and the NFO is always happy to assist any MTV production that visits our state."[2]

The residence

The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, where the cast will be residing.

A custom suite was built at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, where the cast is residing.[1][2] Hard Rock President and Chief Executive Officer Joseph Magliarditi commented, "We are very excited to partner with MTV and their hit reality show series The Real World for the 25th season in Las Vegas. We recently completed our $750 million expansion which includes the addition of SKYBAR, Reliquary Spa and a luxury suite tower. We look forward to hosting the new cast." The penthouse suite for the cast is said to have a large set living room, 4 bedrooms, and built-in bowling alley.[2]
