United Front Games is a Vancouver based game development studio. They currently create titles for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. One title they have published is known as ModNation Racers.[3]

The studio consists of former members of EA Black Box, EA Games, Rockstar Vancouver, Radical Entertainment and Volition Inc, all of which made video games with an open world setting.

History

United Front Games was founded in 2007. Its first official title ModNation Racers, began production in 2008 and was released on May 21, 2010 in some countries and on May 25, 2010 in the US. A free demo was released on the PS3 of ModNation Racers on May 18, 2010. They were developing True Crime a reboot of the series before it was cancelled.

United Front Games has partnered with Activision[4] for the development of True Crime, sequel to the open world action game True Crime: New York City. Unfortunately, the game was declared cancelled by Acvtivision on February 9th 2011 for being "just not good enough" to compete in the open world genre. Activision didn't expect it to generate enough profit and stopped development [5]. United Front Games also partnered with Sony Computer Entertainment[6] for the development of ModNation Racers, a "User-Generated Content" kart racing game released in May 2010.
