Welcome!

Hello, Webb.joshua, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Xim3, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

New to Wikipedia? Please consider taking a look at our introductory tutorial or reviewing the contributing to Wikipedia page to learn the basics about editing. Below are a few other good pages about article creation.

Speedy deletion nomination of Xim3

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Kamkek (talk) 15:33, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

February 2011

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Xim3, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 15:40, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, just a heads-up: when you add text to Wikipedia articles, please make sure that it doesn't sound like advertising - Wikipedia articles are not there to promote their subjects, only to inform about them. If the article sounds too much like advertising it could end up being deleted as spam (please read this information about what is considered to be spam on Wikipedia). Secondly, please don't copy text straight from other websites. Wikipedia is pretty strict about not allowing copyrighted text in its articles, and such text will be removed on sight, to avoid any possible legal repercussions. So please rephrase the information in your own words, keeping in mind that the article needs to have an encyclopedic tone. Thanks, and have fun editing! --bonadea contributions talk 16:07, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The recent edit you made to Xim3 constitutes vandalism, and has been reverted. Please do not continue to vandalize pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thank you. Mrh30 (talk) 16:24, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not vandalize pages, as you did with this edit to Xim3. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Mrh30 (talk) 16:28, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Xim3. Mrh30 (talk) 16:28, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Final warning

Your addition to Xim3 has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

This is your final warning - if you add copyrighted text to this or any other Wikipedia page again you will be blocked. --bonadea contributions talk 16:58, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The copyright policy which you were asked to read tells you what you need to do in order to use copyrighted text. There's a set procedure that everybody who wants to use text that is protexted by copyright must follow, even if they are the copyrighte owners themselves. Until that procedure has been followed, use of the text is not allowed - an informal OK from the copyright holder is expressly not enough. Since the text you have added to the article is unacceptable for a Wikipedia article (for reasons that have been stated on your user talk page - it is pure promotion), there seems to be little need for you to go to the trouble of jumping through all those hoops. Please do not add the copyrighted text again, nor any other text that reads like advertising for the product. --bonadea contributions talk 17:08, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 17:09, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. The {{hold on}} template is only for articles tagged for Speedy Deletion, and is not applicable to the WP:AfD discussion process. if you wish to argue for the retention of the article, you should do so at the discussion page, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Xim3 -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 17:33, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just stop the promotion, please!

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Xim3, you may be blocked from editing.

This is your last warning; the next time you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising, as you did at Xim3, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.

This is my first time setting up a wikipedia. I am sorry that it is coming across as advertising. I am trying now to stick stickily to information . . .
