Hey, just a heads-up: when you add text to Wikipedia articles, please make sure that it doesn't sound like advertising - Wikipedia articles are not there to promote their subjects, only to inform about them. If the article sounds too much like advertising it could end up being deleted as spam (please read this information about what is considered to be spam on Wikipedia). Secondly, please don't copy text straight from other websites. Wikipedia is pretty strict about not allowing copyrighted text in its articles, and such text will be removed on sight, to avoid any possible legal repercussions. So please rephrase the information in your own words, keeping in mind that the article needs to have an encyclopedic tone. The copyright policy which you were asked to read tells you what you need to do in order to use copyrighted text. There's a set procedure that everybody who wants to use text that is protexted by copyright must follow, even if they are the copyrighte owners themselves. Until that procedure has been followed, use of the text is not allowed - an informal OK from the copyright holder is expressly not enough. Since the text you have added to the article is unacceptable for a Wikipedia article (for reasons that have been stated on your user talk page - it is pure promotion), there seems to be little need for you to go to the trouble of jumping through all those hoops. Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. XIM3

The XIM (Xbox Input Machine) is a console adapter from "XIM Technologies INC" that allows an Xbox 360 player to use a mouse, keyboard, joystick, or other peripheral as an input device.

History

Wiimote Mod
XIM started with the wii mote mod, which was a DIY (Do it Yourself) project posted by OBsIV in August for 2006

XIM
It started out as a small project in September of 2007by OBsIV who was disappointed with XFPS' performance. The XFPS was one of, if not the first adapter for the XBOX 360, that allowed you to use a keyboard and mouse in gaming. But the quality of the product was low and there was minimum performance increase. Because of this OBsIV started on a project to create the XIM. It started out as a device that had to be connected to your computer then to your XBOX360. Using the device this way, you were able to use anything that connected to your computer as a controller for your XBOX360.

XIM2 aka (XIM360)
The XIM2 was the first upgrade to the XIM. The main point of this upgrade was to go straight to the controller hardware without having to crack the console's security with input peripherals(which had to be done for the XIM). Not very much information was released about the hardware specific changes that were done.

XIM3
In November of 2009, OBsIV first announced he would be planning and working on a third generation of the XIM product called the XIM3. This product would be the first PC-less XIM product and would be, by far, the most advanced Xbox input adaptor available

All USB mice and keyboards are designed around a standard interface. Meaning, if your hardware isn't on this list, it doesn't mean it won't work. It just hasn't been tried.
