Topic particle

Topic particle is a part of speech existing in languages like Korean, Japanese and Somali. It indicates a topic in a sentence.

Korean topic particle

Korean topic particle has two forms: "는", used after vowel, and "은" used after a consonant. Example sentence: "그 여자는 뚱뚱해" ("This woman is fat.").

Japanese topic particle

Japanese topic particle has only one form, it is used by hiragana character "" example sentence: "" ("This girl is pretty, don't you think so?").
