Plot
Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, Ranger Smith, Huckleberry Hound, Snagglepuss, Quick Draw McGraw, Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy and Snooper and Blabber, would go on treasure hunts around the world, as assigned by Top Cat. They traveled aboard a ship called the SS Jelly Roger, which was like the ark on Yogi's Gang. Dick Dastardly and Muttley and their ship the SS Dirty Tricks would try to beat them to the treasure by using their usual dirty tricks.

Trivia
- Tom Ruegger, later a writer and producer for Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, and Histeria! worked on this show and Charles Grosvenor, later the producer/director of most of The Land Before Time direct-to-video sequels, directed the series as well.
- Two comic stories based on the show appeared in issue #18 of the Cartoon Network Presents comic book from DC Comics.
- Dastardly and Muttley's car, The Mean Machine, was not featured on the show, but they appeared in a sub called The SS Dirty Tricks, and in a WWI biplane.
- While working on Yogi's Treasure Hunt, recording director Gordon Hunt was looking over a storyboard and what seemed to be a new character caught his eye. He asked writers Mark Evanier and Earl Kress, who this "new character" was. They both told him it was Yogi's best friend Boo-Boo and was not a new character.
Home Media Releases
- MCA/Universal Home Video released three episodes of the series on individual VHS tapes in Spring 1990, to promote the opening of simulator movie ride, The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera with Universal Studios Florida.
