Ravel Ryan Morrison (born 2 February 1993) is an English footballer who plays for Manchester United.

Career

Born in Wythenshawe, Manchester, Morrison was first scouted into Manchester United Academy by former Manchester United Coach Phil Brogan after being passed on by other trainers[3] , Morrison was signed as a first-year scholar in 2009. He signed his first professional contract with Manchester United on 2 February 2010, his 17th birthday.[4]

He made his Manchester United debut in a 3–2 League Cup win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on 26 October 2010, coming on as a substitute for Park Ji-Sung.[5]

Personal life

Morrison, who currently lives in Denton, Greater Manchester, narrowly avoided a one year jail sentence in 2009 after threatening the victim of a mugging to drop charges. The court told Morrison that he would be sent to prison if he appeared in court again, within the near future.[8]
