Stop editing wrong interwikis especially in de:wp

i.e. Mona (Vorname) is a name and not a music band --Ottomanisch 15:27, 18. Mär. 2011 (CET) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ottomanisch (talkcontribs) 14:29, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Kapit and Kapit

[1] This is just one bot edit that wants to join two different places with interwiki's. Could you fix it, there are two Kapits, one in Europe the other in Asia. Thnx in advance, Leo db (talk) 20:55, 20 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Korean iw broke an article

Not sure exactly why, but this edit seems to have broken the article. I am reverting it. Sławomir Biały (talk) 01:07, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ah... It seems to be an intermittent server-side software glitch. Sorry. Sławomir Biały (talk) 01:44, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Skrivadeg@brwiki

Possible, but that was a very tiny create from an IP so, that looks suspicious to me. If the use of {{delete}} was improper then you can simply remove that, as another used did so in this case, also improved that article a bit. :) — [ Tanvir | Talk ] 02:46, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Bot war?

What is going on here: Sanya3 / WikianvirBot and then WikianvirBot / Luckas-bot?

Interwiki order in Simple English

Hi,
The bot just added another interwiki language to a page I wrote, simple:Le Monde's 100 Books of the Century.
Your bot, and probably others, do a nice job listing the languages alphabetically, by name, rather than by 2-letter language ID.

But they always alphabetize "English" in Simple English as though it is a foreign language.

I think Simple English should list English before the foreign languages, in the same way that Norwegian (Nynorsk) lists Norwegian (Bokmal) before the languages that are actually foreign.

What do you think? Varlaam (talk) 22:49, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Carnets

Hi! The edits in de.wikipedia ([2]) are false. A Carnet (DE) is a Carnet (EN) and a Carnet ATA (DE) is a ATA Carnet (EN), Same in NL and other Wikis. Please stop these "Corrections". --Lkl08:23, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

CONFUSION: I mean your Bot. ;-) --Lkl08:31, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please, don't let WikitanvirBot add bs, de, hr, la interwiki links to Kosovo article. They aren't correct. All the best, --Biblbroks (talk) 09:24, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

They're working for me. I think Biblbroks is concerned because the foreign-language articles are possibly POV (treating Kosovo as a country rather than as a disputed territory). But surely that is a matter for de.wikipedia etc., not here. Bazonka (talk) 09:40, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Links were put to point to Republic of Kosovo article instead. I understand that interwiki links are a matter for en.wikipedia, as they are a matter for any other wikipedia. Regards, --Biblbroks (talk) 10:56, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
See Talk:Kosovo#Interwikis. Bazonka (talk) 11:38, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop it! The articles in english and german WPs are about the name, the articles in other Wikipedias are about a song. Your Bot always re-inserts the wrong interwiki links! --Quadratissimo (talk) 02:03, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Polly on Swedish Wikipedia

Hi, please stop your bot from inserting de:Polly on Swedish Wikipedia, the article on German Wikipedia is about what Polly can mean, and the article on Swedish Wikipedia is about the Nirvana song. Regards, Markmc (talk) 02:48, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi ! Please stop on fr:Polly on French Wikipedia, too !! Starus (talk) 03:06, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, it's not possible from my side to make the bot not to edit on a particular page, but you can do that using {{nobots}} template. And this interwiki inserting is not the bot's fault. Someone inserted wrong interwiki in any of the linked article and the bot followed that. If you can correct those links, the bot won't do that. But also, before correcting please use {{nobots}} in all of the linked article, so the bot will not add those links within your correction procedure. Thanks! — [ Tanvir | Talk ] 04:03, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

... the main problem is that the bot "fixes" it too fast... If it would check every two hours, everything would be fine...--Müdigkeit (talk) 04:26, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That's why I said to use {{nobots}} within all the linked articles. Bots using Pywikipedia does not edit on those page which as {{nobots}} in it. So, first you added this tag on all those articles, then you correct everywhere, then remove the tags. Everything is fine. :) — [ Tanvir | Talk ] 04:33, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Bots are here to make work for the humans easier not the other way around. Your suggested proceeding would increase the needed edits by a factor of three. Please program your bot in the way, that it don't react so fast to changing interwikis and all problems are solved. --Engie (talk) 16:58, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I cannot make change the edit rates where there are other good ways to fix this issue. And it's editing rate is completely acceptable and fair. As you can see the edit rates of this bot is 2-3 edits per minute, which is not that fast. :) — [ Tanvir | Talk ] 10:41, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The problem is not the edit rate of your bot. The problem is the fast reaction to changes in the interwiki structure. Here and here your bot acts in less the one minute after my correction, thats much to fast. Wait one hour or so, and there is enough time to fix all links in all languages. --Engie (talk) 16:51, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Mistake in kbd

Hi,

It seems like in kbd.wikipedia User:Wikitanvir was granted bot rights instead of User:WikitanvirBot. Can you fix this, please? --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 13:10, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's fixed. :D — [ Tanvir | Talk ] 13:22, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
