Copy/paste

Hello Bberry. I noticed that you copied and pasted a news article here into the JS Group article. Are you aware of the copyrigh terms of the website? Also, now the entire article is not balanced.--NortyNort (Holla) 03:27, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I responded to your message here at my talk page.--NortyNort (Holla) 09:23, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your addition to JS Group has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:40, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your note at my talk page. We are not able to restore copyrighted content to Wikipedia prior to authorization of license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure to authorize. We will need to be able to verify that you are the author of that piece, Salman Akram Sheikh, or to otherwise verify that the author has legally transferred copyright to you. Being affiliated with the subject of the article does not itself transfer copyright, so this verification is important.
I do have to advise you, however, that even if the content is approved, much of it is inappropriate for inclusion on Wikipedia. Once permitted, it would be greatly modified to meet our policies and guidelines.
I recognized in the history of the article that it has been subjected to vandalism by a detractor of your company. They have been persistent in this, and have also been placing copied content for which license is not verified. If you look at the top corner of the page, you will see that it contains a little lock. When cleaning up the copyright concerns, I semi-protected the page so that for several months unregistered users will not be able to modify it to prevent this ongoing misuse of the article. I have also added it to my "watchlist" for a time so that contributors who register to get around that protection will not be able to continue with that agenda.
As you are associated with the organization, please review Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for the best ways to deal with the kind of misuse that the article encountered. Wikipedia is interested in ensuring that content remains neutral and verifiable, and sometimes the only step necessary to prevent this kind of assault is to bring it to the attention of the many volunteers who work to maintain the integrity of the project. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:15, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of sourced material; how to defend interests

While we appreciate that you have an interest in making sure that the article is accurate and neutral, I'm afraid that does not extend to removing sourced material without good reason. I have returned the content you removed, which seems to meet our verifiability policies. Please see Wikipedia:COI#Defending_interests for more information about how to address any concerns you may have with this content. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:46, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

ok.. thanks for updating me.. i will take care of this in future

You removed sourced material once again. Please do not turn the article into a battleground. Continued removal of referenced information in the article may result in your account being blocked.--NortyNort (Holla) 21:39, 11 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I removed your entry because the text was copied and pasted from copyrighted sources:
Look at the terms at the bottom of each page such as "This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, redistributed or derived from. Unless otherwise stated, all content is copyrighted © 2011 The Express Tribune News Network."and " © Pakistan Observer 1998-2010, All rights reserved". You cannot just copy and paste text from copyrighted websites into Wikipedia, use your own words. Feel free to make the article neutral but please do it properly.--NortyNort (Holla) 10:00, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I have again removed copyrighted material from this article, which you pasted from [1] and [2]. Please stop doing this. If you don't, it will be necessary to suspend your accesss to this account. This will only make it more challenging for you to help ensure the neutrality of the article.

I linked to you above Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations on what to do to defend your interests. As it seems that a living person is involved, Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Help is also helpful. You need to work with the community in addressing your concerns. We may not be able to make it say exactly what you want, as we do have policies and guidelines that govern content. But those policies and guidelines mandate that articles msut be balanced and fair, and generally contributors will try to help you reach that if you follow those procedures. Sometimes just alerting people to issues can help. For instance, while we cannot use the material you pasted from the Tribune, we certainly can include information from it. I've expanded the article to mention the suit and the restraining order. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:11, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
