Far Eastern University

The Far Eastern University Institute of Accounts, Business and Finance (FEU IABF) is a private accountancy and business school in the City of Manila, West Sampaloc, University Belt, Philippines. Originally founded by a group of educators including Nicanor Reyes Sr. in 1928, IABF merged with Far Eastern College to form Far Eastern University in 1934. IABF persists under the umbrella of that University. It is accredited level III by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines. The Institute offers a wide range of Bachelor of Science degrees in specialties related to business and accountancy and a Master in Business Administration degree.

Mission

The FEU – Institute of Accounts, Business and Finance is committed to produce principled and competent business graduates espousing fortitude, excellence and uprightness.

Accountancy Department

Guided by the core values (Fortitude, Excellence and Uprightness) of a true-blooded Tamaraw, the Accountancy Program of FEU–IABF envisions itself as a Center of Excellence in Accountancy Education.

It commits to develop future responsible accounting professionals through holistic accountancy curriculum, extensive and innovative delivery of instruction, competent and highly qualified faculty, state-of-the-art facilities, industry and community based researches, practical-based student apprenticeship program and extensive community involvement.

Specifically, the Accountancy Program aims to achieve the following: • To produce highly qualified accounting graduates who will become Certified Public Accountants (CPA); • To develop future accounting professionals who will serve as agents of societal changes; and, • To hone future accounting professionals to be globally competitive.

Business Administration Department

In fulfillment of the vision to be the leading business school in Asia, we will produce business specialists in the field of Business Administration guided by the University’s core values of Fortitude, Excellence and Uprightness.

To achieve this, we are committed to: • Incorporate actual business practices in all business professional courses; • Expose business students to the field of research; • Develop young and proactive business executives; • Strengthen the entrepreneurial skills of the students; • Implement a comprehensive Student Apprenticeship Program; • Produce principled and competent business graduates; • Be actively involved and participate in Community Service and Development; and, • Sustain strong linkages with government, and business and industry both local and international.
