Brooke Logan Forrester (previously: Marone, Chambers and Jones) is a fictional character from the daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. She has been portrayed by Katherine Kelly Lang since the series debuted in March 1987, although Catherine Hickland and Sandra Ferguson briefly filled in on two occasions when Katherine Kelly Lang was on leave.
A chemistry graduate from the Valley who became an internationally famous businesswoman at Forrester Creations after creating the patented BeLieF formula for the company, Brooke is as well known for the hypnotic effect she has on the opposite sex as she is for the tenacity and confidence that have enabled her to hold her own against rivals such as Stephanie Douglas Forrester, Caroline Spencer Forrester, Taylor Hamilton and Macy Alexander over the years. Her first marriage to Eric Forrester produced her two oldest children, Rick Forrester and Bridget Forrester. However, Eric Forrester's stepson Ridge Forrester holds the distinction of being the love of Brooke's life, and it was during one of her multiple marriages to him that she conceived her youngest child R.J. Forrester (although there was initial doubt as to whether the boy was sired by Nick Marone, who was also a very significant player in Brooke's love life). One of the lowest points in Brooke's life was an affair with her erstwhile son-in-law Deacon Sharpe, although this affair generated Brooke's younger daughter Hope Logan Forrester, who has since been accepted into the family and adopted by Ridge.
Beth Logan and Stephanie (Douglas) Forrester
The story of Bold and the Beautiful begins with an intense rivalry between Beth Logan and Stephanie Forrester. Beth was engaged to Eric Forrester and Stephanie Forrester became enamored by the young man at the college they attended. According to SOD Stephanie slept with an inebriated Eric Forrester and later said she was pregnant. Later it was discovered Massimo Marone was the father of the baby Ridge Forrester. The entire soap is devoted to the Douglas women versus the Logan women. Steffy Marone/Douglas vs. Hope Logan vs. Katie Logan vs. Brooke Logan. Pam Douglas vs. Donna Logan vs. Brooke Logan vs. Hope Logan. Storm Logan, Brooke's brother even shot Stephanie Forrester. The soap is therefore, devoted to the feud between the Logans and the Douglas women and the allies such as Taylor Hayes and Oliver Jones the Douglas women use to thwart, sabotage or outmaneuver the Logans usually through deceit, manipulation as well as abuse which in turn causes the Logans to make assinine decisions that hinder their happiness or falls into their enemies hands. The Logans first appeared on the show as a blue-collar family and the girls were plane jane looking and wore conservative clothing compared to the Douglas/Forrester world in which they wore fabulous expensive clothing and were made up on a regular basis. After the Logans became enmeshed into the Fashion world then they were seen as being the ones dressed gaudy and was later seen as dumb blonde bombshells and heavily sexual even while they were in their innocent state. The Logan women still carry this title regardless of how down to earth and innocent they started off. They are therefore seen as deviant and uncontrollable when it comes to sexuality yet forgiving, unintelligent and a lamb when it comes to the abuse they suffer at the hands of the Douglas women. The Douglas women are seen as being mentally unstable, beautiful, elegant and moralistic even though they have committed about the same amount of sins as the Logans. They are also abusive, manipulative and cunning. The men are drawn to the Logan women due to their sensuality but also due to their ability to be non-judgmental and caring. A trait Beth Logan had and Stephanie's granddaughter is following in her grandmother's footsteps with being cunning and manipulative and Taylor Hayes acknowledged once to Stephanie that the reason she wanted her to marry her son is because she was just like Stephanie. So Stephanie chose a wife for Ridge who had the same manipulative, cunning yet complex ability to appear moralistic and righteous. The rivalry between Stephanie and Beth ended when Stephanie threw Beth’s family heirloom handkerchief in the Forrester pool and an alzheimers Beth swam desperately to reclaim the memories she was loosing of her family. The handkerchief had pictures of her daughters Brooke, Katie, Donna and her son Storm. Along with the death of Beth came the death of Eric and Donna’s marriage due to Eric refusing to press charges against Stephanie for antagonizing her mother in trying to get her to see why she should live with Donna and Eric even though she had her own house. Beth addressed Stephanie’s attempt to break up Donna and Eric’s marriage and it only infuriated her more as she went over all of the abuse she used against their family. Eric and Stephanie remarried after this incident and Donna is now married to the father of her long lost child Marcus, a child she gave up for adoption in High School.
Brooke's Conquests
Brooke and Eric became involved after he slept with her when she was already drugged and asleep. She thought she was kissing Ridge and later learned otherwise. She avoided Eric but after she discovered from her gynecologist she was pregnant she guessed it was Eric and started to date him behind Stephanie's back. She and Eric started to go to Big Bear and afterwards she broke up with him after she discovered he and Stephanie were considering reuniting. He wondered why she broke up but decided to marry her after her doctor gave him the conception time of the birth which was the time she was already asleep in her bed drugged with sleeping pills in her attempt to get over Ridge. He stops her from having the abortion and they marry due to her pregnancy.
Brooke (married to Nick Marone at the time) and Ridge slept together while she was drugged and asleep in bed and he slept with her. This is also considered to be a conquest. According to Taylor Hayes the ex-wife of Ridge she was not raped.
Brooke and Andy a sleezy lawyer slept together after he violently raped her instead of seducing her while she was asleep. Stephanie Forrester told him where to find her key and he came in and physically abused her and had sexual relations. According to Ashley Abbot she was using her rape to get Ridge Forrester back. Stephanie told Andy, Brooke was easy.
Brooke and Thorne became involved after Taylor became pregnant again and she became more depressed and drunk more on occassion. She came up with the Bedroom Line during this time which further destroyed her reputation as a wantoness woman and she started to pursue Thorne as being her destiny after she started to have meltdowns of seeing Ridge kiss Taylor over and over again in her mind.
Brooke and Deacon became involved after Thorne left her after she revealed to Deacon that Ridge was the only man she'd ever truly love. Brooke was at home drunk already and Deacon came with more booze and boozed her up some more and picked her up and took her to her bed.
Brooke and Oliver became involved through mistaken identity. Brooke was wearing the same outfit as Hope and Oliver was wearing the same outfit as Ridge. Oliver thought he was making out with Hope who was wearing a mask in a dark night club atmosphere and Brooke thought she was making out with her husband Ridge at a dark night club event.

One of the major reasons Brooke is considered to be unlikeable at times is because the show interprets her behavior such as being compassionate, nice or smiling in a man's face as being inviting and encouraging men to treat her such a way. Also her "Bedroom Line" for Forrester which generated an exorbitant amount of money for the Forresters only worsened her reputation. And the major clincher is when she unabashedly ran after Thorne Forrester as her destiny in an attempt to get over Ridge and the last straw for many fans was when she slept with her daughter's husband Deacon Sharpe. People are more outrage over the fact that she didn't stop the affair after Deacon plied her with the alcohol. However, the entire soap revolves around hating Brooke since the characters Stephanie Forrester and Taylor Hayes both slept with their daughter's boyfriends and significant others. It is looked over however, because they never became pregnant by them. Brooke is considered to be the classic dumb blonde bombshell of this soap and is written as such. Her daughter Hope is following in her mother's step as well since the virgin is now being plotted against by Amber Moore, Oliver Jones and Steffy Forrester into giving up her virginity. A plot which Stephanie Forrester had concocted when she constantly called the young virgin Brooke at the time "the slut of the valley" which she later became.
Brooke and her Rivals
Brooke and Caroline became rivals after Ridge was caught in the act by her father having an affair with a model by the name of Alex Simpson. Ridge was also having an affair with Eric Forrester's secretary while being engaged to Caroline who he claimed to love and was considered to be a playboy. These scenes are on Youtube.com. After Caroline left Ridge at the altar and she gave Brooke permission to date him Caroline became jealous and depressed and more jealous after Brooke became pregnant. Caroline enlisted the help of her future mother-in-law Stephanie to help her when it came to trying to sabotage Brooke's happiness and Stephanie came on board after Brooke discovered that Eric was planning on leaving Stephanie for Beth her mother and Brooke addressed Stephanie who called her and her mother sluts and whores. Brooke later suffered three miscarriages due to the abuse and was railed against after Caroline discovered that Ridge once wrote a love note to her before she married Thorne and both Brooke and Thorne hid it since Brooke was engaged to and pregnant with Ridge's child and Thorne was engaged to Caroline. Ridge slept with Caroline in an attempt to upset his brother when Caroline was asleep and drugged. Thorne shot his brother unknowingly and Stephanie hid it. Brooke and Taylor became rivals after Ridge and Brooke were finally making their way back to each other inspite of Brooke being married to his father. However, after meeting his wife's doctor Taylor starts giving advice to Eric on how to keep Brooke married to him and advice to Ridge on not going back to Brooke since she's married to his father. He later makes his decision to marry her based off of her correct assessment that he couldn't hurt his father like that. She was right. The two later marry. She also enlists the help of Stephanie who was antagnoistic against her at first and told her that even though she despised Brooke she knew Ridge and Brooke belonged together and she warned her to help her be with Ridge or she would never see Ridge or her grandkids if they had any. This scene is on Youtube.com. Stephanie and Brooke became rivals due to Stephanie's past relationship with Brooke's mother. Also, Stephanie was fond of calling Brooke who at the time was a virgin a "slut from the valley." She also brought up the families low economic state which was blue collar at the time and called the family trash. The situation became more heated however after Eric almost left Stephanie for Beth again so Stephanie found Beth's husband who had left the family in an attempt to save her marriage. Brooke in her book would never be good enough for her son even though she was innocent and a Chemistry student at the time. The situation became worse and worse as men became protective of a young Brooke and Stephanie's husband Eric who she was separated from at the time became concerned for Brooke after Ridge left her. As Brooke was asleep and drugged since she had been having a case of insomnia she was dreaming of Ridge. Eric came into the bedroom and started kissing on her and in her mind when she opened her mind and saw him in a fog she saw Ridge thinking he had come back to her. From this moment she became pregnant. She avoided Eric who had apologized but after she started having pregnancy spells she went to her gynecologist who told her she was pregnant. Brooke decided at this time to start seeing Eric and hid it from Stephanie. Later Eric discovered why she started to give him the okay to see her when he saw her at her gynecologist and he discovered she was pregnant and the gynecologist gave her the possible time of conception and he realized it was the time he slept with her she thought she was kissing Ridge. Stephanie deemed her a homewrecker after Eric gave her a decree of divorce and married Brooke.
Brooke's Flirtations
Victor Newman and Brooke acted like a couple to anger Ridge who was married to Taylor at the time and he attempted to taunt Victor and make threats after thinking they were a couple. It outraged Taylor who left the restaurant. Brooke flirted with Connor, Dante,Pierce, Dave Reed (an ex-fiancee at beginning of show)and Whip Jones but never had sexual relationships with these men. Thomas and Brooke flirtation began after Thomas felt he had to do something to make his Taboo line for men sparkle better then his step-sister's Hope's line. So he kissed his step-mother thinking it would create buzz. It did create buzz but caused Taylor her rival to become unhinged at her son kissing her nemesis so she started to quote mantras that Brooke and Thomas would eventually sleep with each other. Thomas became so drowned out by the mantras that he started looking at his step-mother Brooke in a romantic fashion as she slept and he kissed her on a plane back from Paris. Brooke woke up and was stunned. Taylor heard Brooke and Thomas discussing the kiss and said Brooke seduced her son in sexy lingerie even though Brooke was asleep wearing a beige sweater and beige pants and a coat. Ridge pulls the line upsetting Thomas and he comes out with a women line. Ridge goes to Paris and is followed by Taylor who reminds him that he said he'd run back to her if Brooke messed up again. Ridge attests it's there son that kissed her while she was asleep and it's not Brooke's fault. Taylor accuses Brooke of encouraging this behavior. Taylor thinks Ridge is dumping his wife Brooke and running back to her but is stunned when he sees their names in lights surrounded by a heart that says "Brooke loves Ridge." Taylor leaves angered and makes it her goal to destroy their marriage at any cost for the sake of her son. Thomas starts to flirt more with his step-mother who finds it difficult to believe he sees her any kind of way since she raised him since he was a kid. Yet their dialogue takes on a flirtatious nature which concerns Ridge.
Present
Thomas and Brooke end up in a plane crash as they make their way to Paris for another Taboo promotion for the women’s line. The Forresters gather together to discuss the possibility of their deaths and Ridge and Taylor grow closer after the potential loss of their son. Brooke and Thomas have sex after ingesting some hallucinogenic berries on the island. According to tvguide.com Bell states that "he has written Brooke to be the ultimate seducer. So even though she and Thomas will be under the influence and the scene will be questionable just as her other supposed seduction scenes in the past he is willing to follow through with this story. Fans of the soap have discussed boycotting the show due to having Brooke in situations that have her listed as the seducer when she's asleep, drugged out or drunk but Bell has acknowledged that is how he plans on continuing to write this character."
According to Bell also due to the content of the hallucinogenic berries we will not know if they actually had intercourse until May 2011. Brooke and Thomas will suffer a blackout after they eat the berries but have aphrodisac desires toward each other in their minds.
Thomas and Stephanie team up against Brooke
Thomas is emotionally blackmailed by his grandmother to lie and say that he and Brooke had sex on the island due to the berries. Thomas attests to his grandmother that he remembered what happened on the island and it was nothing. They still had their clothes on. Stephanie adamantly says, "You did have sex with Brooke and if you wish to own the majority of my stock when I die you will say you did." Thomas followed through with his grandmother's orders and cried in front of Brooke and his father saying he and Brooke had sex. Brooke is floored asking why doesn't she remember any of this. Ridge lets her know that this could be the end of their marriage.
Taylor barges in and yells at Brooke
Taylor asks Brooke how can she live with herself by sleeping with her son. Mine you Taylor slept with Brooke's son as well but for some reason this soap never emphasizes the other character's sins. She threatens to file charges against Brooke for raping and seducing her adult son and goes to Ridge to tell him he needs to leave his wife. Bell states that later on Brooke will leave the company and her marriage making room for Taylor to marry Ridge again since Whip left her since she was still fantasizing about Ridge and Brooke will make a suicide attempt at the demise of her marriage to Ridge.
Ridge Forrester and Brooke Logan
The story began for these two when Beth Logan received a catering job assignment from Stephanie who hadn't realized it was her former rival. Brooke and Ridge had a love at first sight meeting when he accidentally called her Caroline, his fiancee at the time before realizing it wasn't her. Both Ridge and Brooke were smitten with each other and Ron Moss and Katherine Kelly Lange have attested in an interview on Youtube.com that the popularity of the couple is due to their youthfulness at the time and that first love at sight meeting. Brooke gave her virginity to Ridge and they co-habitated with each other in 1987 after Caroline gave her permission to date her ex-fiancee. According to Soap Opera Digest "Ridge and Brooke" marry in 1994 on a Malibu beach after Taylor Hayes Forrester's plane crashes and she's considered to be dead. In 1995 their marriage is considered to be invalid due to Taylor's return from the dead. In 1996 Ridge is prepared to remarry Brooke inspite of Taylor being alive but decided not to after he misunderstood Brooke rejecting Grant Chamber's advances when she kissed him good-bye after he revealed his feelings for her. She told him Ridge was the only man for her. Ridge later proposed to Taylor Hayes who was wearing Brooke's wedding ring he picked out for her and the wedding dress he had especially designed for Brooke. Ridge however decides to marry Brooke again in 1997 after Taylor refuses his advances after she learned he ran after Brooke and Grant to stop their wedding which Brooke planned on doing in order to make Ridge jealous who had proposed to Taylor in public as she wore her wedding dress. In 1998 Ridge married Brooke but annulled it after Taylor later revealed she was pregnant with Ridge's child. Ridge played with the affections of Brooke Logan throughout his and Taylor's marriage which caused extreme angst between both women. Taylor died again another time at the hands of Sheila Carter which led to Ridge and Brooke remarrying each other. Ridge and Brooke raised their son R.J. Forrester, Taylor's children Phoebe, Thomas and Steffy Forrester and Hope Logan a result of an unplanned affair with her son-in-law when she and Ridge were not married. Taylor returns from the dead again ready to reclaim her husband Ridge after approximately seven to eight years had passed. Stephanie had a fake heart attack in order to encourage Ridge to marry Taylor again and he does. Brooke becomes involved a seaman by the name of Nick Marone who she later learns is Ridge's brother. Nick and Brooke marry and Ridge has a nervous breakdown and a heart attack and Stephanie vows to get Brooke back for her son. After the heart attack scare is over due to Brooke coming to his side but going back to Nick,her husband, Ridge has a nervous breakdown and rapes Brooke like Eric (not seen as rape since Brooke started to date Eric after she thought she was pregnant due to the incident and later married him)his father and Brooke and Nick divorce after he has an affair with her daughter Bridget Forrester and he starts to run a hate campaign against anyone who was a Forrester after learning that Ridge had raped his wife. Ridge and Brooke later marry which confirms Taylor Hayes opinion that Brooke wasn't raped but wanted Ridge and was seducing him in her sleep as she's always done. Ridge and Brooke marry and raise Hope Logan who is now an adult on the show. Due to SORAS that means that Ridge and Brooke have been married for approximately twenty years since Taylor died when Thomas, the oldest was nine years of age and she didn't come back until they were young adults approximately 17 to 18 years of age. After Ridge left Taylor again after discovering she had an affair with James Warwick, an ex-fiancee of Brooke Logan while she was married to him he went back to Brooke and blamed Stephanie his mother for sabotaging his efforts all those years to marry the woman he truly loved all his life who was Brooke Logan. He also states to his mother that Taylor and his marriage is one that should have never occurred and he could never understand why she wouldn't allow him to be happy with his Logan. After he leaves Taylor he went back to Brooke, R.J. and Hope who was approximately four at the time. Due to SORAS Hope is now twenty years old.

Thomas and Brooke flirtation began after Thomas felt he had to do something to make his Taboo line for men sparkle better then his step-sister's Hope's line. So he kissed his step-mother thinking it would create buzz. It did create buzz but caused Taylor her rival to become unhinged at her son kissing her nemesis so she started to quote mantras that Brooke and Thomas would eventually sleep with each other. Thomas became so drowned out by the mantras that he started looking at his step-mother Brooke in a romantic fashion as she slept and he kissed her on a plane back from Paris. Brooke woke up and was stunned. Taylor heard Brooke and Thomas discussing the kiss and said Brooke seduced her son in sexy lingerie even though Brooke was asleep wearing a beige sweater and beige pants and a coat. Ridge pulls the line upsetting Thomas and he comes out with a women line. Ridge goes to Paris and is followed by Taylor who reminds him that he said he'd run back to her if Brooke messed up again. Ridge attests it's there son that kissed her while she was asleep and it's not Brooke's fault. Taylor accuses Brooke of encouraging this behavior. Taylor thinks Ridge is dumping his wife Brooke and running back to her but is stunned when he sees their names in lights surrounded by a heart that says "Brooke loves Ridge." Taylor leaves angered and makes it her goal to destroy their marriage at any cost for the sake of her son. Thomas starts to flirt more with his step-mother who finds it difficult to believe he sees her any kind of way since she raised him since he was a kid. Yet their dialogue takes on a flirtatious nature which concerns Ridge.
Imaginary Intercourse
Thomas and Brooke end up in a plane crash as they make their way to Sidney, Australia for another Taboo promotion for the women’s line. The Forresters gather together to discuss the possibility of their deaths and Ridge and Taylor grow closer after the potential loss of their son. Brooke and Thomas have sex after ingesting some hallucinogenic berries on the island. According to tvguide.com Bell states that "he has written Brooke to be the ultimate seducer. So even though she and Thomas were under the influence and the scene will be questionable just as her other supposed seduction scenes in the past he is willing to follow through with this story. Fans of the soap have discussed boycotting the show due to having Brooke in situations that have her listed as the seducer when she's asleep, drugged out or drunk but Bell has acknowledged that is how he plans on continuing to write this character."
According to Bell also due to the content of the hallucinogenic berries we will not know if they actually had intercourse until May 2011. Brooke and Thomas will suffer a blackout after they eat the berries but have aphrodisac desires toward each other in their minds.
Stephanie Betrays Brooke again
After Brooke aided and supported Stephanie during her cancer treatments and encouraged her to live Stephanie has decided that Brooke is up to her old tricks again of seducing the Forrester men after talking to Taylor Hayes about Brooke possibly seducing her son Thomas. She urges Stephanie to remember who the old Brooke Logan was and to go against her. Stephanie betrays Brooke who she considered to be a friend for a short period of time again. A pattern that occurred when she tried to get Brooke to leave Nick her husband at the time to go back to Ridge who had a heart attack because he couldn't be with his Logan.
Thomas teams up with Stephanie to break up "Ridge and Brooke"
It is later revealed Thomas and Brooke did not have sex but he lies to Ridge and Ridge believes his son and Taylor, Thomas' mother tells Ridge she loves him and wants them to be a family again. Whip her husband leaves her after she says Brooke can make her husband (referring to Ridge) believe anything. Whip calls her out on her bull for wishing, hoping and manipulating the situation to look like Brooke is after Thomas so she and Ridge can be together. After Ridge leaves Brooke after Thomas untrue admission Taylor tells him she doesn't love Whip her husband and hasn't for quite sometime.
Taylor calls Brooke sick
Taylor barges into Brooke's house and calls her sick and twisted for seducing her son Thomas and she was going to file charges against her for seducing her adult son under the influence of the drugged berries. Brooke is besides herself when Taylor asks her how can she live with herself. The words of Taylor later causes Brooke to have a suicide attempt at the thought that she slept with her step-son and it causes the demise of Brooke and Ridge's marriage leaving an opening for Taylor to marry her ex-husband again since her husband Whip left her due to her inability to keep from manipulating the situation to be with Ridge.
