Lucas Rodrigues Moura da Silva known as Lucas (born August 13, 1992 in São Paulo), is a Brazilian football attacking midfielder. He currently plays for São Paulo. Lucas is in the list of FIFA's players to watch in 2011.[1] Lucas is a frequent member of Brazil's Under-20 international side. In February 2011, Lucas was involved for Brazil in the Under-20 South American Championships where he scored a hat-trick in a 6-0 victory over Uruguay. Recently, Lucas was called for the Brazilian team, in two friendlies against Netherlands and Romania.

Club career

Lucas signed for São Paulo at the young age of 13 and progressed through the ranks to make his debut in 2010


Trivia

Lucas started his professional career under the nickname "Marcelinho", which he earned by playing for a Marcelinho Carioca team on junior level. However, he decided to be called by his name after his family appeal.[2].He is known to share a room with Lucas Leivaon away trips with Brazil national football team.
