Khoren Gevor, born Khoren Gevorgyan (Template:Lang-hy) is an Armenian-German middleweight boxer and former EBU Middleweight champion.

Biography

He was born on March 16, 1979, in Etchmiadzin, Armenia. Standing at 5'8 and fighting out of Hamburg, Germany. Khoren fought in 2007 against compatriot Athur Abraham and lost by a 11th round knockout. In November 2008 he beats the Finn Amin Asikainen in his hometown Helsinki by a 7th round knockout and won the European championship belt. Khoren is known for his good technique and speed.

Amateur

After a very successful amateur career with 72 wins in 75 fights and six national Armenian titles, Khoren turned pro in 2000, signing a contract with Universum Box Promotion. He is currently managed by Klaus-Peter Kohl

Private life

Khoren lives with his wife Ninel in Hamburg, Germany where they have two sons and a daughter together. In his free time, he enjoys radio-controlled cars and motor racing.

On June 9th 2011, Khoren was arrested in the Netherlands on suspicion of extorsion and kidnapping.
