Lucien Laviscount (born 9 June 1992) is a British actor.
Early and personal life
Lucien Laviscount grew up in Read, in the Ribble Valley in Lancashire. He attended Ribblesdale High School in Clitheroe, where he was awarded 10 GCSEs, and was also a member of Carol Godby’s theatre workshop in Bury.[1] His family consists of parents Eugene and Sonia and brothers Louis and Jules.[2] Laviscount has dated Sophie Reade, the winner of the 2009 series of Big Brother.[3] In 2010, he took part in a charity football match alongside Jack McMullen, Lyndon Ogbourne and other actors in aid of Sport Relief.[4]
Career
At the age of 10, Laviscount appeared in an advertising campaign for Marks & Spencer alongside the footballer David Beckham.[5] Laviscount secured roles in programmes such as Clocking Off and Johnny and the Bomb before becoming a series regular in BBC One series Grange Hill.[2] He was then cast as religious swimmer Ben Richardson in Coronation Street and as Jonah Kirby, a school pupil who had an affair with his teacher, in Waterloo Road.[6][7] In 2011, Laviscount became a housemate in the eight edition of Celebrity Big Brother.[8]
