No.. I like, WHY?!
Trim this down and merge it back in to the main article for the series. This is a total waste of an article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.243.180.163 (talk) 17:21, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- Uh, not really. The series is expansive enough, with discussion of the characters significant enough that it warrants an article. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 23:00, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
Why?
- 1. Why did Ridley get merged to this page? It has plenty of Creation and Reception.
- 2. Why is the creation and reception info shared between all the characters instead of in Ridley's section?
What you have done here frankly makes no sense. So some explanation is needed. Blake (Talk·Edits) 16:56, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
- 1. Because the creation section pretty much completely lacked anything in the way of creation, more so of expansion of the character. Regardless, creation info does not establish real world notability. And the reception, while big, lacked anything that really defined real world notability. While a few references may specifically be about Ridley, most are just passing mention of him.
- 2. So that the article could have its creation and reception sections strong instead of having all the information sprinkled around the article. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 17:21, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
Chozo
I think the line about "Chozo" being an "anglicized" form of the Japanese term 鳥人族 choujinzoku should be revised. I was pretty sure that in the original game, before any deeper background for the race had been conceived, the statues themselves were simply referred to as Chozo (鳥像 Chouzou ; not sure about the exact Kanji for zou), meaning "bird statue(s)." It's not some strange "diminution" into English of choujinzoku as far as can be seen. Also, since the word 人 can be used for "person/one, people" in general, not just "(hu)man" (cf. usages like Kaseijin "Martian[s]"), 鳥人族 should be trans. "bird-folk clan/tribe/race" or some such instead. Adam Restling (talk) 03:51, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
Metroid
Doesn't anyone think that Metroid (as in, the species) should gets it own page, considering that it's eponymous to the games and quite central to the series itself? It's probably even more central than Mother Brain and Ridley, who have their own pages, since, going just by appearances, it's more prominent than both of them.
