"Bajan"? And all this time I thought the title "Pon de Replay" was Jamaican "patois" (or rather I should say Jamaican "creole"). See, "pon" is a word I often hear in dancehall tracks, etc.
- Pon = "put on"? Not so sure about that. Do you have a source for that? And "Bajan is not English"? Of course it is. 'Pon = Upon, and it's an archaic English feature which is preserved in several Caribbean English creoles. Guettarda 16:06, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
I'm more towards it being in Spanish (pon=put de=on replay=replay), not English slang (pon=upon de=the replay=replay). Firewithinfreak (talk) 18:50, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Wrong info?
Is it just me or do the chart positions not match on the sidebar and on the table?
Is this correct?
Actually, "For the Love of You" is by The Isley Brothers and Houston just covered it. Does the source state Houston's "For the Love of You"? Somehow The Guardian isn't loading for me. Novice7 (talk) 15:18, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
- It says Whitney Houston in two sources given, indicating she sung the song in the way that it was sung by Houston. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 15:39, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
- Ah okay. Thanks. Novice7 (talk) 06:19, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
